What do you think?
've posted this before. I wonder if any litigation came from this image. It was used by Columbia Pictures from 1924 to 1927.
Clearly it was copied from the Standing Liberty quarter.
I wonder if anyone had problems with it.

IMHO doubt it
shut up or put up i care little
Either way it’s a cool pic. I can sure see the similarity to our beautiful SLQ’s.
It's amazing how many stories there seem to be regarding the original model. Interesting for sure.

Beautiful image, and I would say it is the SLQ design. Probably stopped using it for much the same reason as the SLQ was modified. Cheers, RickO
I've read that the often-repeated story regarding the reason for the design modification was bologna. Have you seen any documentation that it's accurate?

So looking at some Wiki's (and this can be questionable sometimes due to potential inaccuracies) the Columbia pictures wiki indicated this logo was Columba. Then clicking the Columbia it goes to the other Wiki with information on Columbia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia_Pictures
It adopted the Columbia Pictures name on January 10, 1924 (operating as Columbia Pictures Corporation until December 23, 1968) went public two years later and eventually began to use the image of Columbia, the female personification of the United States, as its logo.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia_(personification)
Columbia (/kəˈlʌmbiə/; kə-LUM-bee-ə) is the female national personification of the United States. It was also a historical name applied to the Americas and to the New World.

@MFeld... I have read that several years ago. I do not know of an official source statement. Now I am curious, I will do some research and see what I find. Cheers, RickO

@MFeld...Thanks Mark. That dispels the 'prudery' theory. With that article and the Wiki reference, it pretty much closes the issue. Cheers, RickO

I think that clickbait thread titles are selfish and stupid.
Yes, I've read that the chain mail was added due to our involvement in WWI and not to cover up a 'nefarious' bare image, as some sources have claimed.
