Thank you PCGS for conserving my 1855 Knob on Ear Large Cent!

I cherry picked an EDS 1855 Knob on Ear Large cent in an old series holder labeled slanted 55 MS65. The coin is magnificent and is featured as the second coin on the coin facts page. I sent it in to be regraded express with variety attribution. When I sent it in the coin had a beauty mark..a tiny spot of white corrosion on the upper left corner of the O in one. The images down loaded before I had the coin and low and behold the white spot was gone! I thought it may have been airbrushed out but when I received the coin back the white spot was gone and in its place was a tiny spot of darker toning. It improved the coin dramatically and I am very pleased with my whole experience. No charge for the Conservation. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. Just my 2 cent piece.

i've always liked the internal chip/cud "knobby ear."

This is what I was thinking also. I just don't think pcgs would conserve the coin without the proper paperwork which limits liability and such in the restoration agree to.
