Lets talk about the Cowboys
I just, sigh.
Cowboys' Dak Prescott to miss multiple games after suffering hand injury in Week 1 loss to Buccaneers
The Cowboys offense stumbled all over itself for almost the entirety of Sunday night's opener against the Buccaneers, even with Dak Prescott at quarterback. But not even Prescott could survive the evening working alongside replacement blockers and receivers, exiting Dallas' 19-3 loss with about six minutes left after taking several hits to his throwing hand. Not only did Prescott not return, with backup Cooper Rush finishing the game under center, but he won't be available for additional games. Team owner Jerry Jones told reporters afterward that Prescott will require surgery for a hand fracture and miss multiple weeks.
The QB's hand made contact with Bucs defenders on multiple plays in the second half, including on a follow-through that hit pass rusher Shaq Barrett. He was evaluated by team physician Dan Cooper, per ProFootballTalk, before leaving for the training room, where he underwent X-rays. Officially, per Jerry Jones, the injury occurred above the thumb and behind the joint of Prescott's throwing hand.
"I thought it was a jammed finger," Prescott told reporters after the game, "but I couldn't grip the ball. … I was told it was (a) much cleaner (break) than it could've been. ... Obviously it's not what you wanna hear. It's not the worst thing that's happened to me. It's just another bump in the road, and I will keep moving forward. ... Let's not panic. It's one game."
Prescott came into Sunday's Week 1 matchup fresh off the injury report after hurting his ankle earlier in the week, and his late-game departure came a year after his noted return from both ankle and shoulder injuries ahead of the 2021 season. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy talked early this offseason about utilizing Prescott's legs more in 2022, with the QB finally healthy, but it turns out the Pro Bowler wasn't even able to establish a passing rhythm against Tampa Bay. Behind a makeshift line featuring rookie Tyler Smith at left tackle, he was sacked twice, hit plenty more and finished just 14 of 29 throwing before his exit.

We are doomed.
i was shocked how bad the cowboys looked last night. I figured they were a lock for 2nd place in the NFC east and a wildcard before the game. Now, I'm not sure how things will play out. I thought the eagles were a lock for 1st place in the NFC east, but their defense looked bad against the Lions. I am an old Redskins fan and I hate the new Commies name, I think they will struggle to win 5 games this year. And I am not a believer in the Giants. I wonder if this year will be another NFC L-East season.
I think that last year was THE year the Cowboys could have gone deep into the playoffs, but that stupid QB sneak call on the last play of the 49ers playoff game doomed them. What were they thinking? They should have thrown it deep down the middle on that last play because the 49ers were playing the sidelines.

They looked like crap on offense, the D looked good though.
They will regret paying Dak all that money especially with that OL falling apart and nobody competent enough to catch balls with Lamb, 3 points is pathetic
their season is effectively over after one game
hilarious

You all know how big a Cowboys fan I am, and I have to wake up this morning and see this.
I’m not pointing fingers but Jerry Jones is the only owner I can think of that takes center stage in the NFL. He overpaid players he likes, leaves the team with few options and fewer backups. He ran Cooper out of town knowing Gallop wouldn’t be ready to start the season. The Cowboys didn’t even have a backup quarterback until Sunday. Blame Dak, Zeke, McCarthy or anyone you want but it’s going to be a long season or the season ended last night with Dak out 6-8 weeks.

This is a good thing. The less attention Dallas gets, the better the league is.
Brady was as good as he needed to be and I bet Billecheck is wishing he had kept him.
He has not won anything since he let him walk.
No question now who is the better Tom or Bill! as the Pats got their ass handed to them yesterday
I love it!
The best thing about Brady might be the fact that he's a player magnet, he draws quality, game changing players to whatever team he's on. And not just offensive players.
A GOAT quality.
I actually just found out about Dak and the injury. DALLAS IS DONE
I was just watching local sports radio on Twitch. I like to do that because you can comment and some shows will react. I only do it every few weeks but it's fun. Anyway, they said that Stephen Jones, Jerry's son, would be on the next segment. He is on once a week during the season. So I said they should actually ask him sone tough questions. The hosts didn't respond, and asked all softballs, but the comment section blew up with Cowboys fans typing hard questions that they want answered. After the segment one of the hosts did address the issue, and said that they do sometimes go harder after Jerry and Stephen (which I have heard) but that it never gets them anywhere. I've actually heard Jerry push back pretty hard before. Jerry just likes to sell the fans a bunch of garbage, and his son does the same just in a more coherent and less entertaining way.
I hear Cam Newton could be flying to Dallas today -

I shed no tears for them. They might be “America’s team,” but they are not my team.
The last time their season went down the tubes was when their quarterback was injured. History might repeat its self.
He's ready to go, just pick him up at the curb.
How about his pocketbook!
Jerry will start caring when the merchandise sales go in the tank like they did after their 1 win season. He need not worry though as the NFL will arrange a trade for Zeke for 12 players, 4 1st rounders and 4 2nd rounders. Can’t have the #1 seller go in the tank for long. After all this is a business

reminds me of Bugs Bunny
I would like to see Jerry make it happen and make a deal for Jimmy G. But in reality that may help so Jerry won't do it.
I guess he's still avaliable? SF restructered his contract and then they don't start or even play him at all in their first game vs Chicago. Was the restructuring the contract making it easier to trade him instead of making him a bigger part of SF?
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I'm not so sure of his availablility now after week 1. We'll soon see how sold the 9ers are on Trey Lance as QB1. My guess is Jerry Jones at least inquires on JG. We definitely need an upgrade over Cooper Rush. Also I believe JG must approve any trade, and at this point that could go either way, he could see going to big D as an opportunity or say there's no way I'm going to that dumpster fire. Time will tell.
Never again will I think at the beginning of a new season that Dallas will be a good team.
And I will never bet on them to win again no matter who they play.
Should have put your money on Brady!
An update on Dak Prescott.
Ian Rapoport tweeted out that Prescott had successful surgery to stabilize his fractured thumb on Monday, Sept. 12. The NFL insider then said in a separate tweet that it is possible that Prescott could return either for the team's Oct. 30 game against the Chicago Bears, or on the Nov. 13 game against the Green Bay Packers. The latter game falls after the team's Week 9 bye.
Still doesn't sound good for the Cowboys.......... an early return by Dak doesn't mean any kind of a proffesional preformance.
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Cowboys are done, even if they brought in Jimmy G, the OL is not that strong and Lamb is on an island
It's a Shame because the D is loaded with talent
There is talk that Dak might be back for the Oct 16th game against the Eagles if all goes perfectly. Apparently there was a revised timeframe given after the surgery.
Dak? Don't need him, we got our guy.
@stevek Eagles are winning this division
there will be no wildcard team coming out of the East this year
How your merchandise selling Jerry?

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Late to the thread - why, oh why, would anyone want to talk Cowboys? They haven't been relevant for decades........ LOL
The name of this thread should be "Less talk about the Cowboys"
We got it done yesterday, dem boyz are back!
I was shocked they won, of course they almost snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory though, being the Cowboys and all
Dak should be back for the Oct 9th matchup with your Rams @Hydrant . Will both, neither, or one of these teams be out of the playoff hunt by then? Of course it will still be pretty early, so there is no way to say for sure.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
I always hate the part where John Wayne gets killed, and Bruce Dern calling him 'boy' all the
time really chafes me,
But still a thumbs up for me.
Er, no. They are, after all, the Cowboys. Be patient...................
We will know by tomorrow evening...... At least as far as the Rams are concerned......My prediction?..... If the Rams beat the Cards?..... Bye, bye Phoenix......Cards beat Rams?......The traffic leaving SoFi for the rest of the season will be way better and I'll get home before 1o'clock in the morning!....... Hey!, I always look for the bright side of things! 🌝
Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side
Keep on the sunny side of life
It will help us every day, it will brighten all the way
If we keep on the sunny side of life

It's hot here in Phoenix. Just like home...Whatever.....I'm leaving for dinner now.....steak and lobster!.....Don't bother me anymore tonight.....I'll fill you all in on the game details on Monday.
For now it's.....💃🍸💃 🍺 💃 🍤 💃 🍹 💃 !!!!!!!
Before we cede the Super Bowl to the Cowboys, we should recall that this euphoria is based upon defeating the Cincinnati Bengals by 20 to 17 in a game played in Dallas. When the “cow pokes” kick the Buffalo Bill’s butts in Buffalo, it will be time to rev up the bandwagon.
Beating the Buffalo Bills, oh my goodness, don't get me excited, if that happens I might just have to debut a new mustache. I've narrowed it down to three styles!
Just wanted to bump this thread to remind everyone that........we still dem' boyz!
