Should this coin have straight graded?

First, sorry for the bad pics. In hand it is very obvious without having to try for an angle but the phone doesn't pick it up. This is a straight grade F12. No details. It looks like maybe dimes were stacked on this. Should this have received "Details"? On the east coast and well it's dark out here now so maybe I can try for better pics in natural light rather than under a lamp.

If you had only your posted pictures to go by, would you be asking if the coin should have straight graded?

Based on these these pics should it be straight graded or should it be details - scratched?

With the color change that looks somewhat recent but can't say for sure since it is unknown where it has been the last years. It also looks like it is not very deep from what I interpret from the photos. I wonder if the coin had the same contact marks but had since toned over like the surrounding surfaces how much it would be noticed?

Recently graded but not sure what happened to the coin. Wondering if it can tone over in time in the holder.

The pictures aren’t very good, but a straight seems appropriate to me.

I think the friction/rub is definitely within tolerance, I've seen worse with a straight grade...

I don't care for the red ink lines drawn on the coin but I suppose it would come off with a soak in acetone.

From my interpretation of the images the coin is fine in a straight-graded holder.

Based on the pictures, a straight grade appears warranted. Cheers, RickO
grade appropriate and old too. If the damage was newer or on a higher grade coin the calculous would be different.

So what's the slab say?
It was F12. No details. It was an online purchase from a CA dealer's (not GC) website but showed better in the images on the site. Upon receipt and seeing the marks I thought maybe a details coin that slipped thru the system. Appreciate all the feedback so going to not dwell on it. Thanks all!
