VF. Low XF (40) maybe on a generous grading day. Way too much wear for AU and no mint luster seen is not helpful for considering any grade above XF...40.For EF-40 typical ANA grading standard is "traces of mint luster may still show." For EF-45, "part of the mint luster is still present." If I have to use a number for my VF assignment let it be 35. My official A.N.A. grading standards guide (5th Edition) does not use the number 35, however.

AU53, strike that, I’m going with AU50
Nice and dirty. I like it.
XF45?
Dave
I like it. It looks AU.

AU 50
Grungy, I like it. I'm on the fence between 45 and 50.
XF45 if recently graded
AU50 if graded a few years ago …

My first impression was AU50

The lower band of 'LIBERTY' appears to be full, so minimum grade is XF-40. I see trace hints of luster which is toned over... I'll go with XF-45.
Definite wholesome looking, premium "EF/AU" in my book. Grade on holder? EF45, shot 50

XF45. Just a bit too much obverse wear to call it a 50 though the reverse looks to be 50.
I'm in the 45 camp

It seems like it has plenty of luster left and maybe a weak strike? My first thought was 53.
Too great details for a 45, I am guessing AU50
45, also.

I think some of what appears at first to be wear is actually just discoloration, Detail is good, especially on the reverse, so I'll say AU53.
Lot of guesses have rolled in, so will post. I think there will be a lot of surprise here. I’ll blame it on my pics.
You would have gotten better guesses if you used that slab shot with the grade and slab numbers blacked out.

Well... late, but was going to post AU... probably 50.... Looks better in the slab shot. Cheers, RickO
My first impression was 55 bc very little wear. What is the luster like? Must be good if CACed.
VF By golly there IS luster, gobs of it.

My PCGS AU55 1908-O dime with a bean of the green kind deserves a gold. Life really is for learning I guess.
