Is the "1" in "61" a die error or PMD. Also, the "JS" initials look wonky.

Nope, PMD.
@isamucoinandcurrency .... Your coin has PMD... No numismatic premium. Cheers, RickO
I never ask about "numismatic premium." I did not see any damage to the surface of the coin that would account for the "1" and the "JS".
Contact Mark/damage on the digits and the initials
@FredWeinberg Mr. Weinberg, could you please explain if you are saying if it is PMD or something that occurred during the minting process?
Post-mint damage happened AFTER the minting process, by definition.
His post stated "Contact Mark/Damage"!!! That is considered PMD!

Contact marks mean something impacted, hit, or contacted the coins’ surface-And it refers to something that occurs after the minting process– Can refer to other coins in a bag, or just about anything that hits the surface of the coin. Aka: PMD
‘damage on the digits‘ Is self-explanatory
If I knew what @FredWeinberg meant i wouldn't have asked. Not everyone can be as smart as you guys. I see people on this forum ask if the hobby is dying. It is because people like you are killing it. Get some joy in your life. And @bsshog40 stick your !!!!!! where the sun doesn't shine. I don't care if I get banned because it is not fun to interact with the people on this forum.
Wow, testy aren't we! I was merely pointing out what Fred stated! I figured you had enough intelligence to understand that. Guess I was wrong!!!! It's not surprising to expect a response like this from someone who doubts a professional opinion when their own opinion is all that matters. You had already copped an attitude in your 2nd post. Have a good day!

@bsshog40 read my post before you stick your nose in it. I didn’t question his opinion, I asked him to explain it to me. That’s how people learn. I also don’t think @FredWeinberg needs your assistance. So, to answer your question, yes you were wrong. The only attitude that was wrong was yours. Mind your own business when the question was directed to a specific person. I actually respect Mr. Weinberg. You, not so much.
Someone needs to look up the word "Damage" in the dictionary! Lol

@bsshog40 let it go. Please troll someone else.
Mr Weinberg was clear in all his responses. You're basically asking the equivalent of an MIT mathematics professor to help balance your checkbook, which he was kind enough to do.
This site has many knowledgeable and helpful members who can provide accurate info on basic questions like this (which some did). If you want to chose to ignore them, that's your business, but my recommendation is to not alienate them or you'll soon be getting minimal help in the future. Choice is yours. Just my thoughts
Mr. Weinberg is saying post mint damage. All contact marks are post mint damage.
@Oldhoopster Mr. Weinberg freely gave me his opinion and I asked “him” for clarification because I did not understand. I am very knowledgeable in my field after 34 years, but I wouldn’t expect you to understand everything that I do. Why do you feel it is necessary to comment like this? He is one of the few people on this forum that has given good advice and opinions. The rest of you are more background noise than anything. Let it go.
@jmlanzaf I understand now, but the peanut gallery keeps piling on.
Just ignore them. It doesn't help anyone to get in these spats. Better to just ignore the curmudgeons. They just can't help themselves.
Anything I can do to help?
@Abehunter Thank you but no. Let me know if you are ever needing a certain “Abe”. I have more than anyone should ever have.
I will,I'm just enjoying going through coin rolls
@Abehunter sounds good. I have enough to share.
How many is enough? Just wondering, so I'll know when I get there?
@Abehunter enough is when you load them in the bed of your Nissan Frontier pick up and bend a leaf spring.
That's alot!!you didn't go rent a storage building to put them did you?

Is everything that I want to know there ?habaraca
@habaraca bite me
hey folks this is what you get for trying to help the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
Now your trying to take credit for someone else, really!!
Reactions like the one you got are why I have largely stopped replying on threads started by new members. The newbies seem to be getting nastier by the day.
Shouldn't isamuc learn the difference between PMD and a valuable mint error? I'd say he's quite a lot of learning ahead of him, but with such an open and willing attitude, he'll go very, very far; I am sure of that! LOL
