I know that there are many who enjoy collecting AU graded coins. They are often as nice or nicer than UNC graded coins and, as expected, are more affordable. Just for fun, I'd like to post a few of my halves at the various grade levels as examples of coins that to me have very attractive eye appeal for various reasons. Do you like AU halves? I prefer collecting AU coins, they are real coins that were actually used for their intended purpose. Here’s a collage of some of my favorite circulated AU half dollars. I still need one more seated half to complete my type set of them, til then I’m using the dollar as a place holder in this virtual album I’m making
