He wants $1,100 for a coaster. That’s all I am seeing.

If someone mistakes that for a quarter, well, the fool and his money saying applies.

Seller is either not knowledgeable or trolling for suckers, or both

    Possibilities:
    1. Seller’s account hacked (it’s happened before).
    2. The coin is real, it’s just the photography is off
    3. The seller’s clueless

  • would love to see a sucker place a bid

I offered $10 but it was automatically declined.

It's an oversized novelty medal not a coaster.

@Lostintranslation... Welcome aboard. It is a novelty item, not a coin... the seller is scamming... either intentionally or unintentionally... but being in the U.S., and with 465 feedback, I would say it is intentional. Cheers, RickO

That was too much. He should have taken it.

If you would like a nice big 1877 Indian Cent, I have something similar.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I don't think it is authentic. Something seems off, but I cannot put my hand... I mean finger on it. lol

Back in the late 70s a local bank used to sell what they called "coin coasters", which were 3 inch diameter cast metal replicas like this one scam boy is trying to sell. 09SVDB, 13-S Buff, 16-D dime, 1877 Indian, 1916 Standing Lib quarter, etc. They were lousy coasters but fun display items.
    Still have the Lincoln:
