Only once did I ever receive a Barber dime in change (a 1909) and that was 60 years ago!
I received one in change in 1971. I was at a restaurant waiting to pay and noticed that the customer in front of me paid for his order in change that had an unusual looking, silvery-colored coin among the other coins. So, I paid for my order and then asked the cashier for ten dimes in exchange for a dollar bill. I still have the 1911 dime I received in change that day in 1971. It's in problem-free very fine condition. As such, it will forever occupy the place for the 1911 Philadelphia issue dime in my album.

@Che_Grapes ... You got that in change?? Now that is amazing....Cheers, RickO
Cool.
Amazing for found in the wild!
Congrats. Yours is older than mine, and unlike my Barber Dime, it doesn't look something was trying to eat yours.

Sweet!
Amazing.
Occasionally I put coins like this into circulation. I figure sometimes that someone will find it that isn't already a collector

I only received one Barber quarter in my change.
Back when I was collecting for my paper route.
I was paid with a strange looking quarter, and later found out it was a Barber quarter, after I stopped at the library and checked the Red Book.
I forget the date, but this was over 50 years ago.
