An uncommon common coin

ChrisH821ChrisH821 Posts: 6,293 ✭✭✭✭✭

Purchased this one on impulse while browsing the 'bay. Showed up today and I am very happy with it.
Strike is great, luster is great, surfaces are really nice, color is nice but not over the top. Just how I like them.

    You did 'em good!
I just love that "gun metal" appearance" on the buffalo's.

Great color and nice surfaces. I like it a lot. What grade would that get? Would it be worth getting it slabbed?

In my opinion, that would go MS65 easy, probably more, it gets better the longer I look at it ! :)

I think approximately MS66. These are relatively common up to MS67, I'll probably include it in a submission once I build one up.

Very nice Buffalo! I would be curious to see how this one grades when submitted.

It has a fully struck top feather and a very strong central strike. Great detail on the knot and hair.

1936-P Buffs are common in all grades. It's the higher UNC grades that start to really increase in value.

Just saw this post - beautiful Buff!!! Looking only at the coin, I was thinking MS-65 or 66. Glad to see it's a 66! Very, very nice impulse buy!!!

So, I'll take the one you're upgrading from! ;)
