Is this pmd, or just crud under the mylar?

What is that on the nose?

It appears to be some material sitting atop the coin.
If you have it in hand, you should be able to tell quite easily. And if you’re looking at an image and really care, why not ask the owner?

It's a flip - just cut it!

Is the coin yours?
P.S. Shouldn't these questions have already been answered in the OP's initial post? 🤔

I assume you don't have the coin. Looking at the picture the light appears to be at 12 o/c on the mylar.
When blowing up the picture the object appears to cast a shadow below it if a light was at 12 o/c.
But this is just guesswork.

It looks like some scrap left over from the making of the 2x2 holder.
Seriously, are you trying to imitate trolls? I think you’ve been around long enough to be able to answer your own question without starting this thread.

Thanks to all.. it looked to me like something a top of the coin, because of the shadow. But this is an eBay auction. I'm surprised someone would post a picture such as this for an auction, and I wanted to be sure before I bid on this thing.
Edited to add: ask an obvious question, get a snarky answer... 😉
Looks like a sliver of cardboard debris from the holder. It may even be on the outside of the holder and can just be brushed away with your finger. In any event, just reholder the coin assuming you win it. Be sure to let Mark Feld know how it turns out.

Cardboard shard.
Those Mylar 2x2s are great but I always wipe them before use to get the cardboard dust and shreds off of them.
Good advice. Wipe off the inside windows with a clean cotton T-shirt or blow them off with compressed air. This is particularly important if you use them for storing red copper coins (especially proofs) since the cardboard dust will cause spotting.

Looks like debris that is inside the mylar, not part of the coin. Cheers, RickO
