Welcome to Teletrade!

Do you still remember your id number? Do you remember perusing the paper catalogs that you'd get in the mail? Do you remember that weird robotic voice that answered when you called in for the day's victories? Some amazing deals were to be had every week.

And later the VHS tapes,,,,,, you could actually see the coins you were bidding on. That must have been expensive to produce and ship those tapes.
Got a lot of good deals at TTR. A lot of it most of my beginning show inventory in 1990.

Oh yes, but I'm not revealing it here. I'm still hoping they come back and I will be able to use the same number. LOL

I remember participating in a number of Teletrade auctions.
Looking for Top Pop Mercury Dime Varieties & High Grade Mercury Dime Toners.
Some of my biggest scores came while bidding in TT auctions. Loved that site!

Here's an old invoice from 1996. Looks like I was #704775.
Teletrade was fun, and I picked up many a gem from them.
I did have to get used to their bidding process which required
specific and accurate bid value multiples. They are missed, and
perhaps someone with interest and financial heft can get them up
and running again.
Here's a St Gaudens which I scored for under $1250 !
Guess the grade ?!?!?!
Thanks
196934 here. I bought many coins from Teletrade back in the day. Proofs with cameo contrast were not necessarily designated so you got real good at interpreting the words they used in the descriptions. I hated dialing in - I was happy that I had that redial button on the phone.

Teletrade is gone. It's fair to say that Great Collections is its spiritual successor, and occupies the section of the market that Teletradee would now.
Stack's bought Teletrade and shuttered it if I recall correctly.

I bought quite a few coins on Teletrade...my how the times have changed!
Ahhh.... those were the days - telephone bidding and guessing what the coin might look like based on the paper catalogue. I still have a few coins I bought back then

I never purchased from Teletrade, but my chopmarked Trade Dollar was sold by them, to the person I acquired it from. Still has the sticker on back. Cheers, RickO
I remember winning a couple of Teletrade auctions and also qualifying to receive a free, common date certified Morgan dollar in MS63 from them.
