What would you call her?
Clam shell lamination on obverse?
Clam shell lamination on reverse?
Double Clam shell?

    Interesting example!

But what to call her? Not sure. Looks like the lamination extends from one side to the other, but unless I missing something, it is a continuation of the same lamination, side to side.

"Lamination through planchet, visible and traceable both sides" ???

    Cracked planchet.

    That would work.

Based on those pictures, I would agree with the 'cracked planchet' conclusion... Cheers, RickO

Bust half nuts are all a little "cracked" so this should fit right in.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

Yes traceable both sides BUT offset, it is not a crack straight thru
Obverse is at 11:00 O clock Reverse is at 8:00 O clock
    4th picture shows it best.

    .
ya. i didn't comment earlier but looks closer to clamshell. perhaps there is a term for a partial clamshell that is affecting both sides in the same area. personally, this is not something i've seen but 1-2 times, so i don't know for certain.
