hfjacintohfjacinto Posts: 874 ✭✭✭✭✭

All,

The enrollment for 2023 Peace and Morgan's are opened. Mintages of 250K to 400K, 6 separate coins in all. Household limit of 3. If you collect the series I would recommend you jump on it.

    Got all the enrollments.
    Thanks for the alert.
    These will SELL OUT on enrollments.
    Get yours or watch the price triple on eBay for them.

    Now, the wait begins to see when they actually mint them!

    Last year, I would agree with you
    Not so this year. Heck, I can order a 22 W burnished ase , right now, from the mint 🥵 and a quick trip to eBay shows plenty of cheap 22 ase proof W. 🤨🙀🦫

    What is enrollment? Is this a preorder?

  • JWPJWP Posts: 22,827 ✭✭✭✭✭

    I was really surprised the 2 coin reverse proof set HHL was 3 and not 1. There is going to be a fire storm reaction for those that did not get signed up for one or all of the 5 enrollment issues. The mint is getting stranger all the time. They still don't make CENTs to me. :s

    Thanks. So basically I'm signing up for every Peace and Morgan release in the future, unless I cancel?

    That is my understanding.

    Exception: NL, the RP set. This one seems to be specific to 2023.

    Ordering the household limit for each coin/set puts you at a total of $1,365 + s/h. That is, if the mint doesn't change their prices. I'm looking forward to seeing those coins!

    That might be true just for the Philly and SF mint marks. If they do a Denver or West Point, or one of the closed mints, it may not be the case.

    The Mint is supposed to send an email some 30 days before the sell date. You can cancel or change your order if done 3 or 4 days before the sell date.

    My advice is to sign up for everything you can and get at least 3.
    Your situation may change and your amount can definitely be changed 3-4 days before release date. I have de-activated the order switch and put zero for amount. Couple days later, activate and re-enter quantity. Perhaps the HHL will increase.
    Finally, the 2-coin set wouldn’t be available for enrollment unless they planned on shoveling out more. The very nature of enrollment implies more releases to come.
    Sometimes those boxes of chocolates have a few “ melt away mints” inside but I’m not sure of the indication but can only imagine. 😉🙀🦫c

    Yes she could say it's a pre-order. Go to usmint.gov and sign in unless you don't have an account then you'll have to make one. Then go to coins then to shop. Scroll down will you see Morgan and Peace dollars and click on that. That should take you to the Morgan and Peace dollars where you will see enrollment in the center of each one of the five issues in Gold letters. Click on that and you can order a maximum of 3. It's kind of a worry-free method to get what you want without having to sit on the computer at 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time. Good luck

    The enrollment option is excellent when available. I have used it a few times and been pleased with the option. Cheers, RickO

    Does anyone think that by skipping a year future demand for these modern Morgan and Peace dollars will suffer?

    @hfjacinto,
    Thanks for the reminder, I enrolled all 5 at 3 each, confirmation e-mail and order number. Have time if I change my mind...

    I hate to admit it but there might be some nice coins among those issues. The coins in PR and RevPR will be very interesting.

    My uncirculated Peace Dollar from last year looked great.

    Has not sold out yet for the enrollment, hummm.
    Has the word not gotten out yet?
    A bit surprised after the quarters sold out so fast

    I agree with this.

    I believe that you are enrolling for a specific item from a specific mint (e.g., NH is an Unc. Morgan from Philadelphia). As such, you would receive every future release of this specific item.

    There is one word that describes these useless coins, superfluous.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    I believe that you are correct that shipping is free with enrollments of this value.

    I don't think so. Still charged shipping for my enrollment of the silver eagle W unc.

    Free shipping starts after the third mint order. It part of their Loyalty Program.

  • MetroDMetroD Posts: 2,225 ✭✭✭✭✭

    "Enrollment" orders receive free budget shipping. They also count toward the "Loyalty Program".

    Source

    Three qualifying purchases in a calendar year (web, phone, or enrollment) entitles "Loyalty Program" participants to free budget shipping for the balance of the calendar year.

    Note - Conditions apply to the "Loyalty Program". For example, but not limited to, the following:
    ~ the program is account-based;
    ~ you have to subscribe to "Product & Promotion Updates" e-mails;
    ~ orders count when they ship.

    Did you sign up for HHL of 3. I did not hesitate and have already gotten Enrollment confirmation for all 5 issue. This is not a shipping confirmation, just confirming that I signed up for the enrollment. Just saying

    I already signed up, but just for 1 set. None of the other Morgans or Peace dollars intrested me.

  • Thanks for the heads up. Missed out on the 2021s. Getting one of each.

    A screenshot of the "S&H" options currently available for enrollments at checkout follows:

    In short, you are supposed to be eligible for free budget shipping.

    If you paid for shipping on your last Unc. ASE enrollment order, either:
    ~ you opted for a 'different/faster' shipping option that requires payment (e.g., Standard);
    ~ the Mint made a mistake.
