I need some of your thoughts 1982-D small date?

I know that there is going to some of you that just dismiss this and want to say mean things about it. Please dont just keep it nice. I think I might have the 3rd 1982-D small date copper cent. Now the coin your looking at look at first to not have a mint mark but if you look in between the 9-8 you can clearly see a D mint mark. If you look more into the coin. It appears that it has been struck multiple time front and back. Also looks to have maybe a debri / staple? I'm really looking for you thought on if you think it might be #3 and if it should go in for gradi
ng. Thanks again and hope to hear from you guys.

Welcome to the forum!
If you thought you found a valuable coin why did you run over it with your car?
I figured I didn't like money that much and was bored out if my mind. Lol
Extremely damaged 1982 small date Philadelphia minted coin. In one respect it is a good thing, it would be heartbreaking to see a rare coin damaged so badly! Welcome to the forum!
NO.
If you look at the date long enough (and use as much imagination, wishing and leg pulling as you have) you can clearly see that it’s actually a 1943!

I still can’t figure out how someone could possibly look at this coin and not realize that it’s been heavily damaged in circulation. I see this💩on eBay all the time and it really gets tiresome. C’mon man it’s common sense
I don’t claim to know about the OP in this thread. But many such threads are started by people who know exactly what they have and enjoy trolling.

Severe PMD and worth one cent. That is not being mean, that is plain honesty. Cheers, RickO
The OP is thinking variety... with a somewhat fanciful mintmark. It's not clear to me whether they are noticing or dismissing the damage.
Mark is this true?
Half or most of these people coming in here are just trolling? Wow...
I thought they were all YouTube degenerates
I think you've got something here...I see an 1804 dollar riding a unicorn and sucking on a lollipop. Send it in. You'll be a millionaire!

It doesn't have to be one or the other - it can be both. 😀
Dude, never use your car's rear camera in reverse for a coin's examination.
Is that clear enough ?
Plus there was a witness ?
Oh my.
