Really looks great in the hand with luster and toning. Does anyone think worth trying for regrade of 58+?

    How old is the slab?

I am guessing within 1-2 years based on slab number.

I don't think it would get a plus.

Interest9ng concept. Is there a listing of the cert numbers by date to learn when a coin was slabbed? I'm fairly sure that PCGS would keep track but if so, is the data available to the general public? Why not put the date PCGS certifies the coin on the label? Would be easy to do. Is there a reason not to date the labels or keep this information secret?

Good question on the number. A recent Swiss medal had the first 4 numbers 4385. While my most recent, within 30 days, have the first 4 numbers 4456.

If the luster is spectacular then it may go 58+, but if at all subdued then I would doubt it.

PCGS knows when each coin was certified by them, but they do not make the numbers publicly available at least in part to preserve the idea that grading is consistent over time. By publishing the numbers they might be implying that there were times they were tighter or looser with standards.

Good looking coin Herb! Nice addition.

Honestly, looking at the Stack's images and TrueView, no, I don't think that get's a 58+. However I do think she looks right at 58 though.

Based on my assessment (from images, so a bit of a stretch) I don't think the luster is quite vibrant enough and the scattered obverse stains (light, but still present) might hold her back.

I don't think I would try a regrade. Beautiful coin though!

If you decide to ignore the majority recommendations, perhaps first submit it to CAC to see if it merits their sticker. If it get’s a sticker, you can then choose to send it in for Reconsideration, if you don’t mind the round trip shipping and grading fee.

Good luck. Regardless, you have a lovely coin at 58.

Try for the +! There's no rhyme or reason in my mind what motivates the graders to give a +. Believe you me I have tried enough times and have had my jaw dropping in both directions of what I expected! Put your $30 bucks in and yank on that 1 armed bandit!

Based on the TruView, it looks properly graded.... You certainly could try, but not likely to get the plus IMO. Cheers, RickO
