They have only sold a little over 200,000 for all of last year.
No telling , the USM makes no CENTS these days. kinda sad too. The actual total with be less than 250K (if they sell that many). This is due to sets being cut up for the individual coins, kinda like a chop shop for cars. I have often thought about it, and may do 1 of my 4 sets this year.

As usual...for the past 50 years...I'll be in for at least a couple of sets.
I might do it this year for the quarters. I usually only buy the limited silver sets they put out in the fall - but the 2021 Washington crossing the Delaware was so cool I had to start buying these uncirculated sets -
Is there anyone here that buys these each year for the purpose of cherry picking high grade individual coins for submission to TPGS? Finding an MS68 seems like one in a 1000, but just wondering what others do. Thanks in advance.
I think this is true - I purchased a 2021 Washington Delaware quarter from a guy who had several graded MS67 PL (NGC) - pretty sure he got them from mint sets

I just want to keep my string dating back to the Nixon administration intact!
After last year. I took an oath to “for gat a bout it”. The quality was terrible and I have picked up a habit from other members, just let someone else pick through em and just go to eBay and buy what I need for our album or maybe a higher end slab of the dimes.
So disappointed with the P and the D coins. $24 I can get what I need and have a start on the slab.
Thanks to those who posted their solution. 😉🙀🦫

I stopped buying the mint sets around 2010.... Have a box of boxes I have not looked at in a dozen years. I do have one set, I think from the late nineties, with a 'removed' mint mark, but left a trace. I thought it would gain value, but last I checked - nada. Probably some high grade coins in those sets, but did not break up sets at all. Cheers, RickO
I just ordered one at noon. As you could guess, this issue didn't bring the website crashing down.
Better get your set now....Only 105,299 left at 1:30 EST
I have two under "Enrollment Processing." They should be in my collection next week. My collection of these in their original packaging goes back to the Eisenhower Administration, 1959 to be exact.
The mintage of uncirculated sets have been declining for years. This isn't the mid to late 20th century where proof and uncirculated sets were pretty much the only things available from the US Mint. There are so many products competing for collectors attention, more precious metal offerings, people are getting tired of modern coins.
I quit buying mint sets at least 10 years ago.
Where do you go to see how much inventory is available?
Thanks!

The new packaging is extremely cheap (thin cardboard and plastic vs the old plastic folders), and the coin condition is worse than normal. The Philadelphia sets in particular are trash.
The packaging is a concern with how easy it is to bend the cardboard. They still send them in the sealed brown cardboard boxes as normal, but several of the sets themselves get roughed up in transit.
Yes. Once came across a 2005 California in a set and sent it off to our host. Came back 70 so I haven't lost the hunt bug, though that was forever ago. Back in the day had many '05 Minnesota errors graded by host after they had been authenticated by an error specialist. Lots of publicity on the first 6 errors so that was productive until a bazillion errors showed up on the scene. Have fun searching the sets.
My 2021 set was such a bunch of circulated looking crap. I switched off my amount “check mark “ in enrollments and will reconsider later. 😉🙀🦫

Got a shipped email yesterday. H as anyone gotten theirs yet and if so how is the quality?
I got a shipped email at 12:15 Tuesday 6/12/22, still waiting for it to be picked up by the usps.
Same here.
Mine is scheduled to be delivered on Monday.
I could be an outlier. Received my one set yesterday after a long break (+10 years?) and the coins from both Philadelphia and Denver look great. The thin cardboard card housing the coins leaves a lot to be desired but, overall, I am pleased with my 2022 uncirculated coin set.
There appears to be some life left in this offering .. Close to 170,000 sets have been sold so far.
Interesting that I see David Ryder's name on these sets. I thought these were produced after he had left his position but apparently not.
Did they change the packaging this year from a card with a flip cover to simply this card?
If so, I like this arrangement better.
