Will the toning on this Ike be disappointing or appealing?

The photos are poor yet the description caught my attention.
Will this Ike be a bit of a surprise winner or will it be drab and dull?

The TrueView might offer some clues

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Looks nice. If you were expecting vibrant colors, then it will be disappointing. If you were hoping for something pleasantly attractive, it will be appointing.

I think for a big business strike clad coin it will be a winner.
I had no idea there was a TrueView!
Thank you!

Pat, anytime there's a "shield" on the insert there's an image available.
I don't think that's correct. It is correct for coins graded today, but if I'm not mistaken, TrueViews weren't automatic when the shield first came along, so coins graded some time ago may not have photos.
The auction pics don't do it justice.
Initially the shield was secure plus (if I recall correctly) and did not have a true view. Some had an ugly scan early on I believe. The true views came along and then you could pay extra for the true view. Then the gold shield with true view came along. This is what I recall but did not attempt to look up all the dates, announcements or other. so could be off on this. But there are 'shield' holders without TV.

The Trueview looks nice, but I would never have bought it from the listing picture.
as well as coins just returned beating their TruView posting by weeks
You've got to like that toning!

i stand corrected if that is the case with me having stated anything with a shield has a trueview.
Looks like a winner to me, nice pickup!
Yup. If Gold Shield, and the cert number starts with a "4", there is a good chance there is a Trueview. Before that the Trueview is only there if the submitter ordered it.
its got a neat look to it, i like
I would not have even bid based on the listing pictures. The TruView appears much better, though not a coin I would be interested in. Cheers, RickO
Thank you. Good to know.
