Should PCGS have a "Handle Holiday?"

I was reading the thread of our own PF about handles.
In that thread and others people have often expressed the wish to be able to change their handle and keep their posting & feedback numbers.
So the Poll is:
Should PCGS grant a Handle Holiday of say 1 week where you can change it and keep your numbers.

Should PCGS have a "Handle Holiday?"
This is a private poll: no-one will see what you voted for.

That would cause mass confusion!
We're already confused enough, as it is. lol

I don't know the people behind the handles. But over time a handle acquires a personality rooted in the poster's contributions: intelligence, seriousness, joviality, depth, experience, life. A handle change would delete the original person.
No, No, a thousand times No!
they probably won't do it because the "handle" is your username and it would require a software feature to be able to actually have a username with a handle...which costs $ to get it done.
I'm guessing the moderators would veto such an idea.

I am active on two other, non-coin forums, and in one the folks can't change their handle while in the other folks can change it rather frequently.
In my opinion, when folks cannot change their handle, it becomes easier to attach a reputation or expectation to each user such that I feel like I might "know" them a bit better and also such that I can weigh what is written in a particular post to have an idea if someone should be trusted. For the forum where folks change their user names, I don't feel connected to people, don't have the same comfort level with trusting or evaluating things that are written and don't believe there is the same camaraderie that becomes established.

It's bad enough when someone changes their avatar. I wouldn't be able to keep up with who's who if people were changing their usernames.
at the least, those of us with our names as our monikers should have the option once for security reasons.
i've asked and asked, to no avail.
No.
Nah, I’d rather have the ability to merge my old account here with my current one.

Must agree with the consensus here. One forum I was on permitted changes and people would switch monikers and then attack others out of the blue. Others who had no idea who these people were. Poor form!
When I've been here for a while, I'm sure someone will fill me in on why you say handler instead of handle!
Have a nice 4th!
That at first had me confused. I just say "handle" or "forum name" so there's no confusion. Great idea for a thread. Some forum names are obvious where they came from while many others are not.

They can change their handles, too.
Everything is all right!
Not really necessary. Why you might ask. As we all get older we have certain things that happen called a "SENIOR MOMENT". Therefore a whole lot of us can't remember who we are on any given day. So why reward us with what we already are enjoying. Darn what was this thread about in the 1st place.
