Another purchase from the same dealer as my raw 1885 V Nickel.

A very nice coin that is very well struck. Hard to find these with full breast feathers, and these are very nice for a 1901. My photography washes them out a bit, but they are there.

nice "slider"
Thank you Barndog! The coin in hand looks so much better. Unfortunately my photography magnifies every little mark. Still practicing with the lighting and the camera settings, but I’m pretty close to optimal.
It looks “approximately😉” like a 62.2 to me.

That looks like a nice 1901 P. They had/have a lot of problems and why they get fairly tough in higher grades. This one has the C4 reverse and the eagles feathers even when fully struck do not stand out as much as prior years. The P mints in the final years 01 to 04 often have a different look. If I recall it had to do with the planchets.

@rokky.... Looks like a 62 to me.....If the price was right and you are happy.... that is a winner. Cheers, RickO
Nice one! Of course I am partial to the feathers 🤗 Happy coin hunting!

@Paradisefound
Thank you guys. The price was right and the feathers are nicer than any other examples I’ve seen yet. I’ll see if I can get some nicer pics of them.
Gotta be unc. I'm at 62 as well.

The back looks unc. The front looks Au from the picture to me. Id go with 58.

Was going to say 55, but see how it "slid" into a higher grade.
