That is a nice medal, obverse and reverse. I wish they had used the Navy shield for the reverse of the Navy medal. The reverse spoils it for me. Cheers, RickO
In the late 60s when I had to take a physical for OCS, I went to downtown Los Angeles. At that time, they were doing draft physicals and there were some 200 or so other guys getting their physicals so they could go into the service. After all the physicals were completed, a couple of Army sergeants came in and said for all of those who want to go into the Army, line up on the left, for those who want to go into the Navy, line up on the right. Obviously lots of people did not want to go into the Army at that point, and went to the right. After all the Army guys got loaded onto buses, and driven away, in come a couple of Marines and said you're now in the the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps is a part of the Navy.
While in basic training...1st week (January 1962) ..US Army...at Ft. "Lost in the Woods Misery," our drill instructor, ask for volunteers to get out of the cold and help out in the kitchen. I was ready to raise my hand, but the recruit next to me: "don't." That was my closest encounter ever in volunteering for K.P. duty.

Mint product schedule indicates mintage limit and product limit are none. Yet household limit is one. Prior 2 .5 ounce medals had a 10,000 product limit. Does anyone know if the Marine Corps limit is 10,000 or changing? Or is this simply a mint error?

This might be a mint error. All the previous 2.5 oz medals had a limit of 10k

This does not make sense....hh limit of one...with no product or mintage limit. This has got to be an error.
I agree that the limits will probably be corrected. As far as Coin World, they usually start out by just repeating what shows on the Mint Website until something happens then will come out with a follow up story.

There are plenty of these listed now on eBay, for those who might miss out. Lowest BIN prices around $240, and a lot of higher asking hopefuls.
I am happy to buy now at $160, but it will get looked if it arrives within a couple weeks. I hope quality is good like the Presidential medal silver series has been.
I was able to purchase one this afternoon at just after 3:00 MDT. I looked like a bit more than 1,800 were still available. Acknowledgement came at 3:05 and confirmation at 3:20.
Last call for people on the west coast.with the remaining quantity so small they will probably leave the HHL at 1 if it is not sold out by noon tomorrow

While I cannot speak for anyone else, I am 'in' for several of the various Armed Forces medals.
For me, it is not about an attractive price for the silver content, or an appealing design. I am buying them as gifts for (extended) family members that have served. It is one of the (small) ways that I acknowledge and honor their service.
I ordered some on Saturday after the HHL was lifted and they were cancelled last night saying they had no more available. Anybody else have this issue?
My shipping notice has arrived also. Depending on how many of our local postal employees show up for work, I will get it Saturday or Monday. I'll wait for delivery each day until three.

Received mine in hand yesterday. A really beautiful example. You can even read burst, semi, and safe with a good 4x glass. My son glanced at it and said it looks like an assault rifle coin. LOL
Got mine today. Medal appears to be flawless. Not even minor ticks. Took USPS 2 day Priority Mail, 5 days to be delivered from Memphis TN to MD. Cant wait for the US Army - (I'm a Vet.) & the Space Force to be issued in 2023.

I never purchased any medals until the 2.5 oz Navy. I loved the obverse design. I like both sides of the Marine Corps and will definitely buy one.
I too like the design, and will try to get one.
