40 years ago: Post a Modern Commemorative...
40 years ago in 1982 the modern commemorative era started with the Washington half dollar. While IMO many of the modern commemoratives are unattractive, there is no question that many are also quite attractive. Post a modern commemorative design that you like. Use PCGS's list of modern clad, silver and gold commemoratives to determine what is acceptable... e.g. no bullion coins, State quarters etc.

Good! For some reason I know you wouldn't be posting a damaged coin (rim reeding hit) from another coin.

That could be said for the "Classic" Commem as well, IMO.

Gold and Silver.

I got a bunch. Not all winners, but I like these ...
(I'll pass on the Apollo coins I have, as the TVs are just stock - but I really like that design.)
I'm not copying you ...

This 1 catches my eye. It look like the reverse middle portion is raised.

I also have the Civil War Battle Field and WWII (91-95) commems, which I also like, but may be more of an "honorable mention".
I have a bunch of Olympic stuff too, but they fall into the "3rd tier" IMO.
I only got the colorized basketball coins as that was the only part of that that interested me.
1 thing I'm glad that DIDNT catch my eye was the Mayflower coins. Too many of 'em and too rich for my blood. I think I was gunning for the 1 oz proof Eagles that year, and couldnt swing it.
OK 1 Apollo coin, because its gold. I still think its stock.
The Statue of Liberty half dollar ... The best design that is dirt cheap.
I like how this one looks

One of my all-time favorite Modern Commemorative coins.

I bought 36 pcs of these from the Mint when they came out.
It is also QA Check approved.
I’m kind of fond of this one too

For some reason my photos will not show up as an image but a link, not sure what is going on as it has been fine in the past
