I can’t see anything better than AU58. There appear to be multiple areas on the obverse portrait displaying friction/wear, as well as friction in the fields - particularly in front of Liberty’s face.

I'm in the 58 camp. That coin must be real nice in person.

I think it's a 58, but the only other holder I could imagine it in is a 61. Neither as a plus, as I don't think the luster is vibrant enough, but she appears to be a nice looking example for the grade.

I would’ve guessed a 58. The reason it looks like an AU coin is because of the lighting. Every little hairline becomes magnified. Practice with your camera and lighting until you find the optimal settings. That’s what I’m in the process of doing. Lots and lots of pics. It can be frustrating, but I’m obsessed until I get it right. Or maybe I just need a new camera, LOL.

I can! I can see the mint State luster from 20 paces.
Luster isn't all that counts for the grade.
I kinda new this was coming. So, aside from the amount of hits that drags it down to a 61 and with the presence of luster there can only be one other factor that determines the difference between AU and MS right?
Friction/rub/wear? That's 3 but essentially 1.
Oh how grading has changed. For me, AU58 means you need to look closely to see that it isn’t MS. AU55 is the highest possible grade for coins with obvious wear.
It sure isn’t how it works anymore. The old AU58 has now expanded into the 58-62 range, grades that it now shares somewhat strangely with legitimately MS coins.
I don't believe the coin warrants any AU designation, although I could try harder in capturing its finer points in my photography via cellphone. The coin grade is 61
Wat can I say 🤷
61 makes sense to me. I don't think the area of the neck near the tip would show worn, rather than bag-marked luster. Whether that's better than 58 is debatable.

I think it's slightly circulated too – but just barely. So I'm going to go with the wild and crazy guess of 58+.
I love it, by the way.
I'll go with 58.

First impression was 55 and after reading replies so far... I'm feeling more like 58.
58 me thinks! And $3k to boot!

I see a 58 there.... Huge pictures, so it is possible I am being overly critical.... Cheers, RickO
Somewhere between FR02 and MS70. I think 60.

That aside, this is a really cool coin.

I buy the grade but I can't afford the coin
Eye appeal figures greatly on a coin like this. Nice coin.
LOL! It doesn't really matter on a 94 dollar!
