Villegas Collection

Has anyone ever heard of the Villegas Collection? I'm familiar with Eliasberg, Newman, Pogue, et al., but I've never heard of the Villegas Collection. Was he or she a famous collector that I'm just unfamiliar with or is this a case of someone just spending extra money to have their name put on the label? I tried Google, but didn't find anything.
I also tried to add pictures, but I can't figure out how to add photos from my phone. The coin is an "1804" Bank of England Dollar/5 Shillings Token certified ATS Fine Details - Chopmarked (cert. # 2874792-006) if anyone cares to take a look.

Thanks lilolme, that's it. I just bought it (apparently from you) and it arrived in the mail today. Do you know anything about the Villegas Collection?
.
until just only NOW, do i see your moniker! lil ol me
I don't get it...
I guess since no one has responded that means no one has heard of it, which is fair, but I think I would have gotten a better response/more discussion if I posted a parking lot "error" or erased everything and changed the thread title to "delete".
Interesting coin. I have no knowledge of this individual and if he is or not connected to this pedigree, but at least it is a starting point for you. Good luck. Very neat coin, I did not know that it was overstamped on Spanish 8 Reales. Interesting.
Let us know what you find out. It seems no one knows much about it, but later this evening you may get some responses. I hope so.

I am not the seller. You gave the ngc number so I looked it up and posted the images for you.
Sorry I don't know anything about it and that could also be why others have not responded. If someone knows they will probably jump in.

Thanks again lilolme. I was able to post pictures on CT, but I can't figure out how to do it here.
@jesbroken
One of the main reasons I love collecting coins is the history, and this coin has had a very interesting life. All "1804" (they were struck from 1804 to 1811, but all dated 1804) Bank of England Dollar/5 Shilling Tokens were overstruck on Spanish 8 Reales. The chop marks just add to the history of how this coin helped facilitate trade with the Far East and then made its way back. If this coin could talk the stories it would tell.
I don't think so. If someone here knew anything about "Villegas" they would have provided it.
I myself never heard of him or his/her collection.
Perhaps the Foreign Coin boards would be a more appropriate place to ask?
We struggle with parking lot errors and DELETE posts but this is, after all, the USA Coin Board.

Well my question was more geared towards the Villegas Collection and not the coin. I guess I assumed that Villegas whomever they are or were could have also collected US Coins and not just English Bank Dollars. I am also sorry that I offended you by posting this coin in the US Coin Forum, but since the coin in question was overstruck on a Spanish 8 Reales, which circulated in the Colonial United States and is listed in the Red Book, maybe technically it is or atleast was a US coin.
You didn't offend me at all. It was just the way you "inferred" that more attention is given to other stuff than to your question.
That's just not true, IMHOP.

Posting picture - your Role as Applicant (when approved will be Member) limits your ability to post pictures.
This works sometimes. With the image at another website (hosting site) copy the Image Address (not copy image). Then here go to the top far right drop down box and click. Will have Image URL and paste the Image Address. If it loads text into the comment box, then it probably worked. Can check by clicking Preview below (Edit to go back). If it does nothing then it probably won't work from there. But could try another website or sometimes it is the format and try again. Key is the Image Address and the drop down box Image URL. After Role changes to Member it gets much easier.

I wasn't trying to infer anything and I also wasn't trying to insult anyone for not posting. I even said that I assume that since no one had posted it means that no one has heard of Villegas. However, while my post count is low, I have been a lurker on this board for nine years so I am not a total newb. Accordingly, judging by your post count you have been around long enough that I am sure you can attest that posts about parking lot errors and delete threads do get a lot more action than my post did or atleast before I mentioned parking lot errors and delete threads.
@lilolme
Thanks again, you have been very helpful.
Same topic new question. I am going to assume that Villegas is/was just some random person. So does anyone know how easy it is to have your name added to a label (can anyone do it), how much does it cost, and if our hosts will do it or is it just ATS?
I had a few rare proof 1958 British half pennies and NGC put my name on the slab. These coins had a mintage under 25 and I submitted 3 of them to NGC.

I'm betting it belonged to this guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramon_Villegas
Anyone can do it.
I think it's more about being the weekend.
You're probably right, and thanks to everyone that replied.
Late to the party, and I kind of wanted to reply earlier but was wrapped up with other things.
I'm not sure who Villegas is, but if this was done as they slabbed their own coins, it sometimes (not always) reduces the appeal to me. I certainly can't find anything except a collector from Peru. Maybe their holdings are truly significant.
Pedigrees for this person and that person, a family name, a trust, made up monikers ... this collection or that collection. Certainly there are exceptions (Tyrant coming quickly to mind), but seemingly there are too many for my taste.
But then again, I've never been a complete fan of listing that, with the exception of the names we collectors almost all know. In fact I am somewhat disappointed that we (collectors) can put our own pedigree when having something graded. Now, in the event this was done by an auction company or for the significant sale of a significant collection, it is somewhat more understandable. Again, exceptions prove the rule.
My good friend @lkeigwin recently purchased an upgrade to his CBH collection ... a VERY significant example with a well documented pedigree. Should his name be on the holder if he decided too? I'm pretty sure he could, as his collection is extensive and impressive, and the TPG's would always love the revenue.
But is that right, and should that be his decision? No, I don't think so. I know him well enough to know I seriously doubt he would do it anyway, but still.
However someday, when he or his heirs sell that coin (and many others) his name will be attached to the pedigree, and maybe, because he is deemed one of the most worthy collectors who have owned her, his name will end up on the holder as well. And we collectors can then all all celebrate that, if the next generation deems he was one of the most important ones.
