Kennedy Half Dollar Copper Question

Just wanted to say hello, I am brand new to this forum. I collect Morgans and Barber Quarters mainly but always pick up other coins and currency as well. I came across this 1982 Kennedy Half Dollar and have not been able to find anything like it. I have seen the Kennedy struck on a penny planchet but nothing like this copper color one this size. I believe this year is about 92 % copper and 8% nickel and wonder if this was an error during the minting process. I thought I would ask here and see what you guys think. I have never attached photos this way so please let me know if this works. Thank you https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=3AB8E32B5E182CC9&id=3ab8e32b5e182cc9!18316&parId=3ab8e32b5e182cc9!15948&o=OneUp

Thank you for the quick reply. That is what I see too when I click the photo icon it says I am supposed to past the image URL. So I did and when I click on the link you just sent back it goes to one drive and shows the photo.
If you click the link it says now leaving collectors universe and then you click that again and it goes to the photo. If there is an easier way someone knows please let me know. Thank you
I must sound like an idiot but is there a help section on the forum for posting photos? The only icon I see to attach an image is the photo icon and when I click on it, it asks for the image URL? But I just browsed a couple of discussions and saw attached photos not URL's. Any help would be appreciated, thank you. Just like a new guy to post something like this! LOL
Others here know much more about this than I do, but I believe that new members can’t post images immediately. Someone who knows the particulars will hopefully be able to help before too long.

Thank you I was actually wondering about that, maybe I need to get officially approved. Thank you so much for being so kind, I will wait and see. All the best!
Pic link doesn't work
The outer clad layers are made from an alloy that's 75%Cu and 25%Ni. It's not uncommon for the surfaces to turn brown And look like copper when exposed to some environmental conditions. Coins found metal detecting or found in the ground frequently show this discoloration.

First this is what I get when I try to view the links you have posted. This is after clicking the link again to leave the pcgs forum.
As far as posting images, your role is Applicant which limits what you can post but somethings do work.
As Applicant to have a chance to work you would need to copy an image address (not copy image). Then do what you did and paste into the dropdown box Image URL and hit enter. If it loads text into the comment box it probably worked but can check by clicking the Preview buttom at the bottom (Edit will go back). If it does nothing, then not good.
Some website will work others will not. It may also depend on image type (jpg, jpeg, png are best) but still might not work from some websites.
You can test this by going to this link and then copy one of the image addresses. Then paste into the Image URL box and hit enter. It should load for you as I did not encounter any that did not work. You can then cancel the post if you don't want to post it.

don't have people cluttering up the registry with question coins
that is not an acceptable workaround
Well that is not what I was saying to do but I do see your point. So I edited it out.
I would explain but it would just say how to do it and that might be undesirable also.
In short - in private inventory only and temporary and replace later.

@palmtreeguru.... Welcome aboard. You should be able to post links from a host site. Cheers, RickO
Thank you for all the responses I am going to try to show you the copper 1982 Kennedy Half now.

Please let me know if you can see these.
Thank you
I guess you can because I can. Anyone ever seen this?
It spent some time sitting in acid. I used to do this in the college chem lab with nitric acid and got the same effect
I was not looking at the color but the surface (texture). That makes sense for this.

Thank you I had no idea what caused this but that makes sense to me now.
