    BTW: Great strike on the eagle's head and beak which is weakly mushy struck on most examples seen.

    After looking at more of these last night, they're all over the map as far as grades. It looks like many suffered from a weak strike. This one looks fairly well struck so I'll still say 58, but low MS wouldn't shock me...

    Take a look in your Red Book in the half cent listings; that listing anomaly is the major reason for the unusual (& artificial?) price support that this token carries in relative terms when compared to similar rarity Hard Times tokens.
