Was at the tag agency today and they had this US map made from car tags from each state (48).

Looks like the Rhode Island plate is still usable after donating its piece...
Must have left off Alaska because that would have taken more than a few plates in of itself...

@lilolme.... How big is that map? Looks to be quite large. Cheers, RickO

This is the actual picture I took zooming in while in line at the tag office. The two tags above will give away the size.
    So back to coins.

Haha, yeah RI would be a mounting hole for a screw/bolt.
Alaska when placed over US is large and the island string really stretches out.

I wandered into plate hobby 3+ years ago.
I like this image illustrating the thoughtful process executing the act of heinous cutting of these obviously used states' plates.
I DO really appreciate this image from a numismatic viewpoint,
even though its altered, damaged & "appalling."

    I really like it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whose State DMV was this artsy image taken ?

Can I share it in the plate hobby world, please ???

To grasp Alaska's size. Alaska:Roughly 2 1/2 times the size of Texas. Neat map.

I was just comparing the distances with the overlay. My youngest son is up in Fairbanks for the month participating in an introductory college exposure program, his first solo adventure. Looking at the Alaska overlay compared to the area below it is like he is spending a month in Rochester, MN while I'm at home in McCormick, SC.
