What are common Barbers going for?

moursundmoursund Posts: 3,207 ✭✭✭✭✭

I'll probably be selling a handful of low grade common date Barber dimes, quarters, halves on the BST. What's the ballpark fair price for these? I'm guessing around 3-4 bucks per dime, and proportionally more for the quarters and halves.
Am I out of line?

Of course I can just price them and lower them until someone wants them... But I'd like to tap into your expertise 🙂

What is low grade? Fair to AG and culls, or full rim Good's?

I'm not in touch anymore, but that would help nail down pricing.

Low grade common dates? I can usually get those for junk silver price at my LCS.

Common stuff probably goes for junk silver prices at that grade. Better dates, not so much.

Price it on the BST for the lowest price you'd be satisfied with. If it doesn't work there, it'll probably have to be ebay.

Successful BST transactions: EagleEye, Christos, Proofmorgan,
Coinlearner, Ahrensdad, Nolawyer, RG, coinlieutenant, Yorkshireman, lordmarcovan, Soldi, masscrew, JimTyler, Relaxn, jclovescoins

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.

I'll be satisfied with any "going" price. Not trying to make a buck, just cleaning out the safe, and not getting picked clean by vultures.
