Interesting MasterCharge Continental Currency thing - Anyone know anything about it?

I tried googling, but came up with nothing. Does anyone know anything about this? I recently acquired it because I thought it was neat. It was also cheap. Cheap and neat are a good combination. It looks to be some sort of thing given out by mastercharge, but I do not know.
Thanks in advance.

MasterCharge became MasterCard in 1979, and with all the emphasis in the text on 1776, it's a safe guess that it was made for the Bicentennial.
Is the replica glued to the backing?
Found this on eBay.uk ... they are asking $50 with $20+ shipping, not much of a description.

If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

I don't think they are worth much, perhaps (realistically) $4 to $8. I have a couple of them in packaging similar to that shown.
However, I don't think mine have the "Master Charge" card. So the card my be scarcer than the main item and would add a little to the overall value (plus $1 or $2 is my guess).
Thanks all. The medallion is not glued in, but it seemed like a rather delicate holder so I did not pry it out. Neat item for sure though. It will go with my KFC trinket.

I saw one working in a coin shop. Figured it at a couple of bucks in the deal.
Nice curio... I recall seeing one at a coin show in the PNW..... Did not buy it. Cheers, RickO
