Will this draped bust straight grade?

You dont seem them raw too often on the market anymore. This one looks like it has some meat left, but I wonder bout the scratches/circulation marks on the observe and the rim ding on the reverse. Are graders more lenient with coins of this age versus a morgan per say?

Yes the graders are more lenient, but not THAT lenient. Looks scrubbed.
I sure hope not. Looks cleaned overall, and those shiny spots should show dense hairlining at other lighting angles.
Also, this is not a coin I would consider whether or not it might grade. It’s not attractive, it’s not original, and while it could take some time to find a nice one, they certainly exist.
Harshly cleaned. Details grade.

I can only speak for myself but if I were going to pay that for a raw coin, I'd look for one already graded. I don't like "Details" on my labels. Rather than take a chance, spend that and end up disappointed, I'd rather have one straight graded with a lower grade or keep looking for a better one if the budget is there.
There are some coins I like that I don't have but I don't want to own them in examples that I'm not going to be happy with.

I sure hope it details grades.
I feel the rim damage would prevent the grade before cleaning did.

Agree with the above comments, looks scrubbed. Could definitely find a nicer one of its kind

The comments above sum it up very well. Hard pass!
Not a coin I would choose.... and I like coins that start with '17..'. It is going to sell for big bucks as well.... Cheers, RickO

There is a reason why it is not slabbed.
Going by the second set of brighter photos, the answer is no. The surfaces have been cleaned, and there are too many hairlines for it to grade.
Not every raw coin is a problem coin that won't straight grade.

Yeah, but there's a reason why THAT one isn't slabbed
