Not sure what type of info but I found this on a search.
Also what type of info are you looking for? History, dates, quantities, all of...

I was his neighbor back in the day. Don't care to know about his life. None of us neighbors knew what the heck he was all about.
Looking for dates, mintmarks, numbers encapsulated. Did A-Mark do an inventory? Did they keep a record? Did they pass it all off to Paramount?

Okay, that is what I wanted to know. In a previous thread I posted some info but didn't want to go looking for no reason. I found it and copy and pasted below.

The Highfill book states that there was no complete list of Redfield published. But provides this list from advertisements. (# very limited quantities)

Not sure why the ones above noted as (# very limited quantities) are not on the smallest quantities list. Perhaps they are below the smallest quantities?
Book also states the largest quantities were (in descending order)

Thank you very much, very helpful.

Find an old copy of Ron Howard Steve Ivy book on Silver Dollars
That hoard is in everyone's Dollars book Bowers, Miller, Breen
I guess I have the wrong Bowers and Breen books. Mentioned, sure, but no listings of dates and mint marks with numbers. Don't have a Miller book that mentions Redfield.

An interesting character.... Certainly an eccentric of the first order. I do not have any Redfield silver dollars, but I may get that book on Amazon.... I enjoy stories like that. Cheers, RickO
I have a couple of the coins and they appear to be over-graded by a point. Who knows how many are out there ? Or how many were cracked out ?

From the Highfill book.
Thanks, great help!
bob:)
1885 isn't in either of the lists above.
What, someone else has a Highfill book here. I assume that is the old one (like mine)?
He came out with a newer one and said it was two volumes each as big as the original with a lot of new and/or updated info. Even had a CD with it for extra $. But since I was not as into the Morgans as much I didn't update.
Edit: @MasonG is that a holder with from Redfield Collection or paramount only?
If Redfield, then yes looks like it was missed.

Redfield.
When I saw your response I thought maybe it is a scarcer one. But after a search I see there are a few of them out there. Hmmm... no gold mine but still nice to have.

Wasn't really expecting much, I just saw the writeups on the different dates and thought I'd see which I had.
Yes the old one. Bot about 20 years ago with the Photograde Guide and Vam book when I started collecting Morgans and Peace $s. Has some good info on the general condition of dollars, i.e. bagginess, strike & luster that was very helpful collecting.
Sounds like some limited research in going to print with that "information." I guess it is better than nothing.
In any event of interest as I do have a few Redfield Hoard attributed Silver Dollars.
