Flying Eagles

I have 8 Flying Eagles that I haven't followed in about 2 years and surprised to see what these are currently selling for. They range from VF20 - XF45. The lowest was my fathers he saved raw as a kid so that VF20 is no concern to me. They are all 1857 and 1858 SL & LL. Seeing these prices lately got me back into looking into everything and all my coins.
Being I got rocked with some critical comments on my first post let me note that I am not a spring chicken. My collecting started in the 1970's and I'm more or less just on sitting on my stuff now. Only very recently letting a few coins go that I absolutely did not care for as they were either won or I paid very little for when purchased.
*Edited: had wrote 1857 twice instead of 1857 & 1858.

Thank you!
Been away from collecting for nearly 30 years until this pandemic provided more time at home. I look forward to the forum as I still have some catching up to do.

@Maywood ... Welcome back to the hobby. Good luck with your sales and with any new acquisitions. Cheers, RickO
There has been some price increases in many areas in the last two years or even more recent.
Not sure if you look at the pcgs price guide but if you click on the price it will show you a price history for that price. I just looked at the flying eagles and they show this recent increase (I clicked the price for grade 40). You can also select a length of time. Of course this is only the pcgs price guide and other numbers will vary. Anyway here is the link if interested.

Do tell, I haven't followed FE prices. I have one or two circulated examples. What has happened with the prices in recent years? Am I rich?
I always liked the FEs, which somehow getumped in with Indian Head cents, probably because they were such a short series and as a result ended up in that Whitman folder.
Excellent! I think the Flying Eagle Cents are my favorite coin to collect.

No, not rich unless you have a stash of 1856 in MS grades somewhere.
Some of those I have nearly doubled since what I remember seeing them selling for in early 2020. Market prices that is. I can't say that for the guides. Although maybe as back then I had a Red Book which are outdated before they hit the shelfs.
