Wow, here's a second Ike Clover reported by Mint Error News! This one is certified as PCGS PR65.
Not only are these exciting as the first one sold for over $100k, this one is certified by our hosts and has a TrueView containing 3 different coins, or is that coin pieces? Is this unique for PCGS? Will we see more mated items in multi-coin holders and multi-coin TrueViews?

Here's the thread for the first one for reference. It is certified as NGC PF68 UCAM.
Here's the ATS slab to compare.
Is there a backstory for how these were found initially? In a bag of dimes?? I am always curious about how such 'errors' are first discovered. Cheers, RickO
I don’t think either multiholder is great but the PCGS one completely kills the most obvious visual appeal of this error (IMO) - seeing them together forming the original design.
The Trueview is great though.
what are the odds of something like that randomly happening, twice??

That’s an exciting proof Ike Dollar clover leaf coming soon in the GC auction.
The PCGS coin, although graded lower, has a date; I'd think it to be more valuable and desirable than the NGC example.
I agree that PCGS missed out by not displaying it correctly as NGC did.

The date helps obviously, the holder does not.
It will be interesting to see if this one surpasses the NGC clover leaf that Heritage Auctions sold for 105k.
Agree 100%!
Yes, the PCGS TrueView is important on a mated 2 piece or 3 piece mint error. It looks great!
The NGC clover leaf was presented the same way in the Heritage Auction listing and in the Mint Error News special edition.
Visually, these need to be seen mated prior to certification.
I saw the PCGS one at the Central States show yesterday. Interesting craftsmanship on that.

About the same as "randomly" happening once, it was intentional!!! Three dimes had to accidentally get into a hopper and then simultaneously make it through the feeder to end up in the coining chamber flat and not atop one another. To my way of thinking something like this is no different than a counterfeit. I can't believe either TPG encapsulated them as genuine.
When you see one of these you can almost consider it possible, but two with an almost identical pattern takes away all chance of this being a true error and any reasonable individual knows that these were manufactured. It is stuff like this that makes error collecting less credible.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I think both were purposely done to create the items. That the 3 were retrieved together given the size difference is no accident. IMO. Peace Roy

I guess as long as they are getting over $100K, they are worth 'making'
I wouldn't mind owning a couple of error coins (someday perhaps), but these are NOT errors. They're dishonest, deliberate fabrications created on the taxpayer's dime(s). Pun, only slightly intended. Not that it hasn't happened before, but I have no interest in owning such things. I'm even more upset if the person who created them profited at the expense of we the people.
They're worse than counterfeits. They were made using materials and equipment that we paid for.
That was a fun one.

Speaking of custom made to order numismatic rarities struck at the U.S. Mint, it’s not just modern coins…
This one qualifies:

And this one:
I could be wrong but I'll bet these were found in the Oil Pan of a Fork Lift.
The name is LEE!
