Saw this two weeks ago at the Manchester show in New Hampshire. A must have for the collection thanks to John at CRO. Wasn’t expecting to find such a choice coin for the collection there. But you just never know what’s waiting for you. Picked her up yesterday at the Deven Massachusetts show.
The picture doesn’t do her justice, lots of luster and color.

Yes I do have another 1800. But who’s counting. As long as my wife isn’t complaining 😊 . When I went to John’s table I asked what do you have for me today. I certainly wasn’t expecting him to pull this coin out. It didn’t take to long to realize it was a perfect for my 1802/1. The 1800 is the big sister to my 1802/1.
I was also able to find an auction catalog from the sale online. In the right place at the right time.
That is an awesome coin! Very happy that you picked it up. Off the market for a long time if it came from the Keston collection in 1996.
I held that at Baltimore and REALLY tried to convince my buddy to buy it.
