A lot of die polish going on here. Cross directional.
Blow it up and some sort of neat looking stuff there. Like the die clash sitting on top of the DP lines.

Given that DMPLs are caused by die polish, oftentimes to correct an issue with a die once it had been in service, I'm not surprised. It's likely the die was polished to attempt to remove the clash and make the die usable again. Very neat coin, is it yours?

Not mine. I have several CC dmpl's but avoided the die polish lines as my preference. I don't recall seeing this much on one in the past. So it caught my eye when looking thru pictures. It looks like in the photo the luster cartwheels are vertical - horizontal (+) and therefore photo picking up the lines in the cross direction and emphasizing them some.

I have never seen a coin with that much die polish evidence so clearly evident. While I do not find it attractive, it is interesting. Cheers, RickO
