Requesting help to add educational numismatic websites to forum Resource link list
![Aspie_Rocco](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/userpics/541/n89BUHAKL3N0B.jpeg)
I have been maintaining the announcement Resource list found here https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1006619/resources-books-links-to-read-on-numismatic-series-errors-and-varieties/p1
for the last 3-1/2 years and am always on the lookout for additional links to add. I do this to help new and veteran collectors find valuable information regarding our hobby.
Do you have any site suggestions not already listed?

Great idea Rocco. Maybe they allow it to remain posted at the top like other informational posts. Here's a step by step process page and short videos by the U.S. Mint on Minting Steps for U. S. Coins.

i am ALWAYS a fan of efficiency and effective (lists especially) for long-term reference. i'm kind outta steam tonight, but i'll peruse the list once i rest and have time, if everyone hasn't already added all the amazing numismatic links out there and see what i can come up with.
@Aspie_Rocco ... Thank you for your work and contributions to our hobby. Cheers, RickO
the "master list" in my signature line will have some.
i haven't checked them for invalid links in years.
there's bound to be overlap
i will view submissions here for adding to the master list.

@Aspie_Rocco
So I was poking around on the web some today and ran across these.
I have not double checked the master list to see if any are listed there but I did do a quick check. I did a short review of them and they initially seem okay. Might look them over and see what you think.
For each series appears to give general info, some spec's, mintage and then specifics on a few special ones.
https://mycoinguides.com/listing-of-coin-guides/
This is not the home page but the page listing the specific series of info.
This one tries to give info on what to do to determine value. Some have a video or two on grading a specific series.
https://www.coinstudy.com
Capped Bust Half Dimes (on site Weebly) appears someone put together this info and acknowledges at bottom.
https://518616078926146539.weebly.com
The below are books I found kind of grouped together on a search of NNP. Most are David Lawrence donated.
The NNP is already listed, so not sure if you want to go into specific books on the site or not.
NNP - The cent book (1816 1839) Varieties

@Aspie_Rocco
Well I was going through the NNP and gradually got to the end. These are the books I noted that are reference type (US - general info, by date info, varieties...) and at least not really old (some are 1800's). I included the author and date this time. They are in a somewhat numismatic order.
You can take out the previous six NNP (near bottom of Resources list) as they are included in this list.
Hope this copies and paste okay.

There's a lot of documents in this search, mainly form 1875, 1878 and 1909. Roger Burdette provided these to the NNP, and they are great for research, although it is only a tiny fraction of all of the correspondence out there.

NEVERMIND - i saw the pinned thread.
Since the complete updated Resources will not post I thought I would try just the new updates.
Below are items to include:
Added a new 3c (3 cent) book on NNP.
Added Seated Dollar website to 100c.
A new section for Grading (place after Errors) with a couple new sites and a couple moved ones.
A new section for Numismatic Websites (place after PCGS Links) with again a couple new and a couple moved ones.
Add (CARE) link to Counterfeit info/reporting.
Under "A look at counterfeit operation" the link for the Vol2 .pdf did not work for me - need to delete it and: Added a new link for Vol 2 pdf and added the Vol 1 pdf link.

Edit: Never Mind on this stuff below as the original posted and included these revisions. Great!
Thanks
@Aspie_Rocco
Glad that the additions posted above.
Here are some items that are duplicated and can be deleted.
.
.
Near the bottom the books are now a duplication of the books at the top of the thread after the previous update provided by LanceNewman. So can delete the books near the bottom starting at:
A list from lilolme
NNP: American Half Cents: The "Little Half Sisters" (Second Edition) - Roger S. Cohen, Jr. (1982)
down through this last NNP book:
NNP: Gold Coins of the Old West: The Carson City Mint 1870-1893 - Douglas Winter, Lawrence E. Cutler (1994)
.
.
The following items are also a duplication (now in the previous revision from LanceNewman) and can be deleted.
On the lower section these 3 counterfeits are included above so they can be deleted.
![](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/7o/revx2s08crlf.jpeg)
.
.
All of the items in the section Link Master List can be deleted because they are now included in the previous revision from LanceNewman. I double checked before posting this and while they are scattered in different sections they are all now included in the top section of the Resources.
This section can be deleted (a duplication)
.
.
The following items can be deleted from the bottom section because they are now included in the top section due to the previous revision from LanceNewman.

Below are some additional links for the Resources thread. You can check them out and if you like them, then I believe they are ready to add. I checked each link to see if it copied correctly.
Below I note what I believe to be the category to add the link(s) and then a screen shot of that current category. The new links are below the screen shot.
I did not see a place for the commemoratives book and breen's proof book. So suggesting to add a category - Commemoratives and Comprehensive US Coins.

Cool. I will find some time later and try to organize and list them. Just a matter of getting up to it.
I might post a couple of them in another thread and see if the forum thinks that they are worth listing. No need taking time and posting stuff that is not seen as useful. They are at NNP and variety pictures of sets and ones I am not familiar with.

Okay I got this smaller list put together (and includes the pictorial set links from other post). See what you think. I did one quick check of the links to verify correct.

I think you have most, if not all of the links that I have on my site, but go to http://varslab.com/res.html and make sure. I have a quick and dirty Fugio variety page there, too.
