Perhaps some collector marked his coin like Dexter marked his 1804 Silver Dollar with a tiny D punched into one of the clouds on the reverse.

I doubt it will even be visible without magnification?
I'd like to see the Dexter mark again if anyone has a pic... wondering if they are similar sized?
Would have to be a very tiny punch!
I think its most likely an uncanny hit..

Cool stamp! There could be other examples. I have an 1806/5 T-1 in an extremely rare die stage with a tiny H stamp, and have also seen the same H on one other coin.

Wow, the D is tiny too...
I'm starting to agree with Todd, the F probably is a stamp and not a hit.
Cool!

I would have stamped it on cloud 9.
