1916-s Buff 2 feather

I just won this on EBAY. I know it is rough but the 16-S is pretty rare. The dealer is close to me so I am hoping I can pick it up tomorrow. Here are the pics from the auction.
So it might not be a 2 feather. Once I get in hand we shall see. What do you all think?

It might be but does it look to be acid treated to your eyes?
bob
Either acid treated or just corrosion. Either way I paid $16 plus shipping. It will fill a spot until I find a better one.
It may be a two and a half feather in hand but check for the no "f" variety. Great filler piece for your album. Enjoy it until you find a real keeper.
Ron Pope states in his book "The Abraided Die Varities" "It is considered to be a true 2 feather variety in spite of the tiny remnant of the third feather still present on all specimens seen"
Nice find! I have three 2-feather Buffalo Nickels... all 1920-S and all low grade.
"You can't get just one gun." "You can't get just one tattoo." "You can't get just one 1796 Draped Bust Large Cent."
Nice pick up. Now you know you're gonna be looking for a better one cause this is a disease. Good luck. Peace Roy

Like a true addict, I AM NOT AN ADDICT!!!! LOL LOL
It does look like a two and a half feather, but in hand, you will be able to judge better. Still a nice catch. Cheers, RickO
Certainly appears to be a no F variety. the stain/toning over the small feather area makes it difficult to tell from the image how close to a true two feather it might be. Best of luck.

It is a 2 1/2 feather. You win some you lose some. How much of the F has to be gone to be a no F? I think I see the top bar maybe.
What do you all think?
This seller uses a crazy light for all his photos, many look like two feathers on screen. When I see the purple background on listings I usually keep scrolling...
