1828 Classic Head Half Cent GTG

I brought this coin to discussion here a while back and the popular consensus was: Artificial Toning.
I felt like even though the toning is AT that the coin itself could grade high enough (if no AT) and took a chance on it anyway.
Well, it's finally back, gtg.

(92 - Cleaned)
Cleaned? That never crossed my mind but if you look close above HALF and other places you can see what looks like striations.
Edit: Yet I see a lot of other early 1800 coins here straight grade with what looks like was cleaned with a Steel brush.
Late to the game, but agree with the grade/details.... too bad about the cleaning. Cheers, RickO
Had the coin not demonstrated evidence of cleaning, it still had no chance of a straight grade. The colors just aren’t consistent with what copper should look like. When there’s more than one problem, they sometimes just list one - likely one that is the least controversial.
Here is a Mint State example of the type so that you can see all of the design.
My vote on the OP coin is Choice AU sharpness, cleaned and retoned.
