Found 2 minor varieties at Coin Club

I'm lucky to find a few varieties a year at Coin Club, got lucky with two last night.

Nobody else saw them during auction viewing, and although they're nothing to write home about, I still love finding any variety.

Feel free to guess the variety & VAM if you wish.

Let's call this one an AU-Ish 1943 Washington

We'll call this one an XF-Ish 1878 7TF Morgan
I'll give you a few key close-ups that those in the know can ID it, and those who don't know can probably have fun looking it up.

25c ddo-5 fs-101
$1 vam-170? - that rev R appears on a few 78p and a few 78s. i was gonna list the vams with the 78s rev R like that but i couldn't find the attribute guide for the broken R reverses i used to use.

I have no idea on variety or vam.... But great to find some treasures at an auction... Especially if they were cherry picks... Cheers, RickO

Nice pics and 43 DDO! It was interesting to see several plate coins for this variety mis-attributed on CoinFacts Nice Vam too, great eyes!

LOL - yes you guessed them.

Couldn't resist a "Top 50" VAM, the DDO was nice too.

thanks for confirming. that 170 took me longer than it should have. vams are a tough racket being sorted mostly by diagnostics other than marriage. i actually can't think of the word i was taught they are sorted by. not die state. a very specific word. hmmm

edited to add: i think it is "die-class"

as a side-note, i actually thought the 78p was the 78s vam-6 at first. >< - i didn't make it as far as the mm before i saw i zigged when i shoulda zagged. (MANY a zigging n zagging has been done through the vam pages LOL)
