MeltdownMeltdown Posts: 8,874 ✭✭✭✭✭

I picked up this old lady at an antique shop in San Antonio a couple weeks back.
I had never heard of this trick coin before but a couple friends I showed it to had...
She's crusty, that's for sure!

It’s a big coin in a small bottle folding coin. The coin is held together by a thin rubber band. Cool find!

I remember the trick from years ago.... Never saw the actual coin up close. It was at a party with a rented entertainer..... Later, I heard how it was probably done, but this is the first time I have seen one of the coins. Cheers, RickO

Have seen clad Kennedies cut like this with the rubber band still in the groove around the edge.

Yes very familiar. When I was a teen I worked for Pat Mollo. Mollo Magic in CT. Pat was a machinist and actually used to make these and others by hand. This was before all the computer machines

For rubber bands go to orthodontist and use the ones they use on braces

Great effect one of the best sellers.

One last thing. That’s how I got started collecting Magicians Tokens

It looks like he's using an old 1 Rupee in that video. Thanks for posting it.

I've seen this trick before but never knew, exactly, how it was done.

    Cool curiosity piece.

Despite being jig-sawed; I actually 'LIKE' the look of the Walker, too!! :D
