Yup, I got contacted, sent Collins an email, but then I thought to look at his profile and when I saw like zero postings I remembered this thread. Fortunately I didn’t take it any further.

Yep, just got it as well.............I didn't reply
Jeez. When will the scams stop?
I don't get very many coin scams, but I do get scams online and phone for 1) medicare benefits 2) burial benefits 3) life insurance 4) auto insurance 5) appliance insurance and on and on.
This is despite my registration to the do not call list on the phones. Most days I get one legit phone call, and a dozen scam calls. I do exact a small measure of revenge on the phone callers by blowing an air horn in their ear until they hang up.
Email is worse. I try to label/block as spam but they are very nimble.
If Collins calls or emails I will waste as much of his/her time as possible before they figure out that I am smarter then them.
Bass turds.
(and thanks for letting me vent - it is really hard to work in an afternoon nap these days.)

on a positive note, i am pretty sure i'm gonna read through the ice and fire series of books. GOT
idk why but i just love reading the books from movie adaptations. tales from Q school was enlightening and i sure did love To Try Men's Souls (i think it was that one) about washington/paine etc and crossing the rivers pushing canons and whatnot.

I didn't get any contact either. I think he's only contacting those with a WTB post on the BST Forum.

Perry, you have hit the nail on the head. I was wondering why I hadn’t been contacted. I don’t post on the BST. I’m definitely someone who should be targeted. I know just enough to get in trouble and new to thing’s collecting wise.
Makes sense. Thanks
The past scams have always involved people posting WTB on the BST forum. Easy to figure out what type of message to send those posters when they say what they are looking for. A few people have gone as far as posting a want just to get a reply from Mr. Anderson, Teddy, now Collins. More "people" will follow with things for sale. Be careful.
When you're looking to buy moderns on the BST and you get a message that "So and So" has one in "Good condition", that's kind of a red flag right there.
If the scammer contacts you, just tell him to mail you the coin prior to payment. That would scare away most of these scammers. I would only do this with a post office box though. He doesn't need to know my home address.

WTB threads are to scammers easy targets, they think since these people are looking to buy they will be easy targets and fall for the scam
people like this are a dime a dozen on the internet one has to keep their wits about them, know what is real and what is a scam
