Did I get the good one? 1936 D Buffalo

I just received a partial set of Buffalos from eBay. Missing both 1913 S’s and the 1918 D. All others are there and no acid dates. I started from 1938 D and worked my way back. I needed to make sure all coins were in the correct holes with no P mints in D and S holes. 6 coins in and I flip over the 1936 D and almost fell out of my chair. I believe it’s the 3 1/2 leg. Am I correct?

Kennedys are my quest...
I own one in a PCGS F-15 holder that looks like that except for a bit more horn. Nice find!
Compare yours to these..........................
Then sit back and smile.

I was looking for the 3 1/2 number on a scorecard.
That is a great find.... Definitely the 3 1/2 legger.... Always a thrill to get a surprise like that. Cheers, RickO
Oops! I think that 9 1/2 (leg) is an advertisement for the AliBaba special.
Nice find! Congrats!

Thanks all. Next question. Do you think PCGS would detail the grade because of the hit on the rim below the “D”?

All you can do is try. PCGS tends to sometimes look the other way on rare or special coins.
Plant it in a holder and watch it bloom.

Right on!
Congratulations!
Love to see stuff like this 🤪

Nice just send it in worth the roll of the dice.
Hoard the keys.
Wow. All of these years (decades) and I have never found a 3-1/2 leg 36-D. Congratulations. Funny thing is that I just went through 100 or so buffalo nickels this morning and I was mainly looking for this variety. Nice job!
I don't think the rim nic would stop it from straight grading. The pics make it look like it is possibly cleaned?
I think it would grade. Nice find!

Great find. Still looking for my first one.
Wow! What a great find! I am partial to the 1936-D (note my avatar) -- congratulations on your find, and I hope you submit it for grading. Here is my 1936-D 3 1/2 legs -- I love this coin!:
Nice score
