I would guess fake simply based on the fact of it being sold as a set.
The holder looks old (dirty/dusty) but still 20th century. Not old enough that this is an "original" set in an "original" holder.
Please educate me. This (at one point) was sold as a set ?
It's a set of replicas sold at historic sites at least until the late 1970s. They are typically not marked as "COPY" or "REPLICA".

All known replicas.
Yeap! When I was a kid around 10 or 11 years old I was given a picture with most of those in it. Mine had one of those small California ingots in it. Of course I took them all out. The ingot really felt like a hunk of gold. I went to a flea market with it and showed it to what I know now to be one of those shyster types! I walked out of that flea market with a boat load coins he traded me for that ingot!
Bid is over $200 on this set.
Just speaking about the mass shilling (with no tree) and bar cent(the only 2 I know by sight), the quality is so low that the cost of shipping will exceed the value.
I have a great looking replica Continental Dollar from the good/bad old days before the HPA.
Those are interesting replicas, some lesser seen ones, Willow tree shilling, and George Clinton copper.
I would agree with the consensus.... Fake coins, souvenir set.... Bidding should reflect that, unless some new collectors think they have found treasure, then it could get crazy. Cheers, RickO
when in doubt, pass. no not for me, jmo
If the coins were genuine, you are looking at several hundred thousand dollars ... But they are not,
I would refer to these "coins" as being "replicas" rather than "counterfeits". They weren't made to deceive coin collectors. They were made to be sold as souvenirs to tourists at historical sites.

All true, and yet many have been deceived over the years.
Hard to prevent crooked people from doing just that, but it doesn't mean we can't enjoy our hobby, only be knowledgeable and careful.
