Hey buddy, thereβs times I realize that I should think about your approach. Save time and get some for the collection.
Other times I enjoy the hunt. What I did was watch for months on end to get everything I want on enrollment. That is not making fun of how frustrating it is, just my solution. I do hear you. π€¨π¦«π
I had enrollments (three separate orders five 3 roll sets total) for these at Sally time. I cut it back to three sets a couple weeks ago (lack of finds ) and then last minute, Saturday afternoon, trimmed down to just two of the sets (which was what I needed for myself and a collector in Canada I trade with). The USM cut one of the enrollments, so I only have one 3 roll set.I called in but of course customer service could do notjing and couldn't have cared less.
And I'm really not understanding how they're cutting enrollments for established customers (and they can check your account history to determine that), BUT NOT SETTING A SALE LIMIT ON DAY OF SALES???
If they set a limit of 1 or 2 on sales day, at least I could rationalize the reduction in enrollments...but theoretically allowing somebody to order 99????? That makes no sense at all.

incompetence and a total disregard for their non dealer customers.

Jshaulis...were those 20 sets ordered as a subscription...and were they reduced?
I'm just trying to determine how random the Mint's actions are?
No subscription, just ordered on release day.
Well dang it all. Ofcourse they were ordered, day of. ππ
The mint must have made a βerror βπ. They would never lie. π€¨ππ¦«
If a well run organization like βThe United States Mintβ sez they are sold out, then it mustβve been an error π
Well again...I just don't understand how on one day the Mint is reducing subscriptions...and literally the next day they are not limiting the quantities of those same items?
Now if they had reduced subscriptions...and then also set a low HHL limit...OK I could understand that in the spirirt of spreading around the wealth.
Or if they didn't reduce subscriptions...and were either already sold out on Day Of sales day...or had extremely limited quantities...I could also understand that in the spirit of first come, first serve.
But to do one but not the other, I definitely can't understand that!
This is like pickpocketing the subscription participants.
I requested a callback as to why my enrollment was cut from two sets to one and they haven't (probably won't) even replied. The USM policies are inconsistent at best and although I thought I had been seeing improvement, thry obviously still suck.
[[I requested a callback as to why my enrollment was cut from two sets to one and they haven't (probably won't) even replied.]]
Cutting 2 to 1 on an enrollment is totally ridiculous, especially when you then sell 20+ sets to an individual the next day! Did everyone else have their subscription orders reduced by 50%...doubtful...since practically nothing was available for sale on Day 1.
And yes, total disclosure, I was totally shut out within seconds on Day 1.
What really burned me was that I had cut from five sets to three after Sally and last minute Saturday before the release I cut to just the two sets I needed. I should have left it at five and returned any extras. I'll boost my numbers again for the next release.
Very quiet, not even a chance.
Enjoy trying but thereβs more new goodies π€¨ awaiting my $.
Real pretty morning up here. (8,000ft) in the Colorado mountains. πππ¦«
The way this SHOULD be handled is no more than 50% of any product offering should be released to enrollments.
The same product limits should be applied to enrollments as on βopening dayβ releases.
The quantity allowed should be based on size of mintage. Less than 10,000 available = limit 1. Period.
The USM clearly screwed up as usual, annoying many customers that wonβt come back. The flippers will soon be gone too, once they increase the number of S rolls next year to double or triple what they are now. This is the typical action of the USM.
Also, by limiting the 3 roll sets at the last minute to 4 or less, should have made available at least 500 or more sets on opening day. What happened? Apparently only 175 available sets on opening day. I donβt buy it. Itβs BS again. I suppose the extra roll sets went to the dealer network. Interesting how those big boys donβt want to buy these.
The Mint simply does not give a rat's arse about pleasing collectors. It's all about bringing in the $$$$ - as much, as quickly, and as easily for them.

Yes, and they could have easily doubled their profit on this run had they just minted and released twice as many. There is nothing saying the mintage has to be limited. They should have known this was possible after the rush from the last two releases. Minting another 300,000 circulation strike clad quarters in San Francisco should be a simple task. So why didn't they?
Batman,
You donβt suppose the bass tar reds know exactly what their doing and are not only presenting the singular digit of indignation our general direction but really really enjoy it π€¨ππ¦«
I'm actually a pretty easy going person...I understand that some things are complicated and/or take time...but I can't tolerate rank stupidity or illogic...
Obviously, the Mint knows the quantities ordered via subscription...therefore, they could have decided to cut all orders...let's just say for argument...over 10 in half...so nobody gets more than 5 rolls via subscription...great...
And then on the day of online sales, you also set the maximum HHL at 5...or maybe even less...to spread the wealth as far as possible.
But instead, what do we have? People had their subscription for 2 slashed in half...what about orders for 4 and 6 or 8 or 10...were they also cut in half...or not touched at all???
And then having no HHL for the 2 second online sales period...that's the level of stupidity that annoys the hell out of me!
Rich. I agree and still am shocked that someone got 20 at release. Iβm extremely happy for our forum member and understand.
Iβm like you Rich. Hate having my nose rubbed in it. And, again, I am in no way mean implying our formite. Itβs the mint. Like they are holding a grudge against us for not jumping all over their overpriced comms. π€¨ππ¦«
Greed, stupidity and over production killed the markets for Pogs, Pokemon, Beanie Babies and Sports Cards and will also kill the modern mint coins market with all its BS labels and hype. The boomers will soon realize that no one will want to buy all the BS coins and labels in the near future and they will become worthless as there will be no one to sell them to.

Yes. The market is saturated with constant new releases from countries all over the world. There are a lot of releases out there because they are money makers for the mints and dealers.
