Going to a RARE Sunday Coin Show...NEW KENNEDY PICS

Good Morning,
Yes this is unusual for me. Attending a "Sunday"
nearby Coin Show! Only real reason I'm going is to flip my NEW 2022d Quarters off. The dealer saved me a long trip to his shop 35 miles away from my home. I called him Wedsnday, explaining that I had 80 more rolls to sell him. That I would be arriving than to drop it off.
He suggested, "why don't I just meet up with him at an upcoming Coin Show Sunday?" He knew this was a whole lot closer to my home, only 8 miles away!
What a magnificent idea!
In which, brings me to attending this Sunday Show.
While selling my Quarters to him there, I might as well roam some tables, right? Lol.
I went to this particular place in the past and I do know many dealers with tables there. I may be interested in another Toned Silver Eagle for my Dansco Album? Or maybe something else that might tickle my fancy? I do know, I won't be spending too much. Saving up for a bigger Show coming in April, at Schaumburg, IL.
I'll keep ya guys posted whatever I buy.
Thanks

Happy Sunday

:)

Nice it worked out for you. BTW, the people in the picture pretty much follow modern coin collector and flipper demographics IMHO.

    Love that Milled British (1830-1960)

I have a 2009 Lincoln proof set with great toning, is that what your pictures are showing?

  • rickoricko Posts: 98,724 ✭✭✭✭✭

@joeykoins.... Could you post another picture of that Kennedy Half dollar please? Perhaps not so much light and a bit further back.... Something does not look right... It certainly may just be the picture, but would like to examine further. TIA.... Cheers, RickO

Sure guys, give me some time to take some different photos.
The coin cost me $17. If it hits near the PF. 65, "Accented Hair", I would have made a decent profit? Hoping for a Cameo but I doubt it?
    Thanks

Did you see many error coins for sale there that were of interest?

Joey, definitely an AH, but no chance at CAM. These need to be pretty frosty to get the designation and you're a ways off unfortunately. A trick to help is to hold your finger two inches above the coin and see if any part of the devices reflect back. If yes, then not a CAM. If no, then you have a chance.

I love ❤️ the 2009 Lincoln proof cents

  • rickoricko Posts: 98,724 ✭✭✭✭✭

@joeycoins.... Thanks for the pictures.... Nice coin, but I do not think it will CAM.... Too much reflection from the devices. Cheers, RickO

    Oh, I see.
Yes! Many error coins. Raw and Holdered.
They were all quite pricey. One I particularly liked was a slabbed (NGC), "Bow Tie" Jefferson Nickel. Very cool!
Now how in the world can something like this get out of the Mint and how would it
    survive in circulation? :/

I believe that many of the "bow tie" errors come from the sealed mint bags that used to sell in $25.00 and $100.00 amounts.
I have a lot of state quarters still sealed in these bags.
