My newest score - another 1921 peace dollar ... what you says?

Man she is purrrrrdy - AND it is a VAM1f (see earlier post) and it is covered in polishing lines and has an unusual matte-like finish. Oh and it is strong strike - not something you see a lot with this coin!
I am an avid Liberty peace dollar collector and I have several 1921s but no 1Fs (do have a 1G which is close) and got this at a great price from some really incredible sellers.
What do you think??

And yes I want to cross it with our hosts to capture the 1F designation - and then try and get it “re-cac’ed” if that is possible ...but they could give it a 65 and then I guess it wouldn’t matter ...
is it good enough for a 65? Your thoughts please!
Outstanding.
Edited: But 65 seems unlikely.
Reverse shot?

1921 High Relief - my favorite!!! Looks sharp!
Reverse images would help in determining what many of us would think of the coin.

Here you go!

very nice
Yeah, love the reverse, too. Maybe a 65?
If you've already decided you're going to send it to PCGS, you might specify crossover at higher grade only.
If PCGS thinks she's a 65, you're golden. If for some reason PCGS won't give it a 65, they'll send it back in the current slab with the CAC. You're also protected from it going down a grade.

Just playing around - tried to get another pic might be better contrast?
That’s a nice looking MS64 (but not 65) example.

Nice coin. I passed on a 65 example about a decade ago. Wish I could go back and undo that decision.
Good strike, but looks accurately graded.
Thank you I really value your insight.
That is a nice Peace Dollar.... One that I would likely acquire.... The reverse is really nice... However, I think it will stay at MS64.... Cheers, RickO
Means a lot coming from you, RickO, I agree with all that it is likely a solid 64, and the reason I may just keep it NGC slabbed and not worry about the VAM designation being listed on the slab. It’s easy to tell it is a 1F for those that know what to look for. She really is a nice coin - one of my favorites even though I do own a 65 (and it is not as nice looking as this one)
All the best and thanks to all of you for your comments
nice coin, i like
Very nice. I'd be proud to have that one!
A very nice pickup.

Kennedys are my quest...
Acceptable strike. I wouldn’t buy one any less 👍
I like that!

I agree and it is really hard to find these with both obverse and reverse strikes that actually got the planchette to move up near the ends of the die crevices - so rare for the 21. Thanks for your comments!
Nice pick up. I personally always have a tough time grading this series. I under-grade almost every time.
Very nice coin!

Pretty sharp coin! If it's 65 quality, might take a crackout to get. I'd leave it in the NGC slab, thats what I've been doing anyways with my '21 Vams lately since x-overs can be frustrating! Hopefully someday NGC will expand/recognize the other popular 1921 Vams.
Just be aware that if it crosses over, there is no guarantee that it will CAC again. A fellow forum member did exactly that and wasn’t real happy when it graded one level lower and then couldn’t score a CAC either. You need to be prepared that might be an outcome.
Nice coin, but no chance to 65 IMO.

Why not leave it in the NGC holder and note the VAM on it yourself? It gets the job done.

Nice classic Peace Dollar.

You make me want to buy one myself.
Don't have one.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. This high end 1921 Peace dollar I sent in to cac:

Decent (but not certain) chance at 64+. Pretty coin. I don’t see a compelling reason to spend more money on it.
It’s by far my favorite 20th century silver dollar ...
Important to remember CAC has only gold stickered three 1921 Peace dollars: a 62, a 63, and a 64.
--Severian the Lame
But I just wanted a green sticker - I believe it is a 64 but was mulling the reslab to PCGS to have the VAM 1F designation included, but because I wanted it to be a 65. I’m satisfied with the experts here like @MFeld and others that say it is just a really good 64 - and that’s good enough for me. I actually have a 65 that is not nearly as nice as this one - but that one is probably a gift grade -
Again, I do really appreciate all your guys insight and posts, I’ve learned so much!
