I love how on the original posting he expects payment within 24 hours, but it may take him a few days to ship so please be patient.
It’s far easier and less time consuming to make a payment than to ship a package.

Mr feld if I may please ask your opinion about the 2nd coin reverse letters. In particular the bottom edges of "states" is that normal. Thank you

That’s not normal. But the pictures look somewhat distorted, so I’m not
certain whether the coin is a counterfeit or genuine, but cleaned.

Thanks Captain Obvious.
I agree that it's obvious. But considering that it is, why did you post "I love how on the original posting he expects payment within 24 hours, but it may take him a few days to ship so please be patient."
It sounded as if you were being facetious and thought it was inconsistent or unfair to expect payment within 24 hours, but not ship for a few days. And that's even though the former is much quicker and easier than the latter.

That is due to die wear, note how the breast feathers are not fully struck as the die is tired and old.

Hello , is that really a thing? How would a worn out die make the letters wavy.

If the die wear is sufficient, the striking pressure will be less as the dies are further apart. Thus you don't get full planchet expansion to the rim and this caused the wavy letters. At least that is what I was told years ago. Perhaps there is another, better explanation?

That was the alleged cert number. It is 1889cc morgan ms63+ I can't see listing number sorry my phone sucks
It is a pricey coin that is actually in a true view now and had green beaned before based on pcgs info.
And the cert number is good
link to eBay auction - the guy even posts the TruView but not a gold shield slab (I hope he didn't pay too much)

the letters on outside did not completely fill the die towards the middle, what you called wavy
Seller ended the Op coin; guess he didn't think anyone would actually check the cert?
My barcode reader can't read the counterfeit one...
Looks like the seller pulled it.... It will return. Cheers, RickO

The real one is a good looking Morgan.

fwiw, the raw 84cc only appears to have the bifurcation on the top 2/3 of the letters on the rev.
i also challenge anyone to find another with that bifurcation effect on a morgan that is not an error that is authentic.
