ANA Money Museum report
I saw several other members giving reports of coin shows they visited recently, so I thought I'd share with you my experience at the ANA Money Museum. I went there all the way back in June, but I really wanted to show some of the incredible coins I saw there.
Probably the most incredible room in the museum is going to be the Harry W Bass Jr collection. It mainly consists of extremely rare pattern coins from the 19th century, and a large variety of gold coins. I never cared too much about gold coins, so I'll focus on the pattern coins. I don't have very much knowledge on pattern coins either, so I'll let the photos I took do the talking.
1839 Capped Bust Half Dollar Rarity-8 (1 to 3 known)
1879 Morgan Quarter Dollar Rarity-7 (4 to 12 known)
1854 Flying Eagle Cent Rarity-6 (13 to 30 known)
1876 Liberty Double Eagle Rarity-8 (1 to 3 known)
1943 Bronze Cent and 1944 Steel Cent errors
Early Half Dollars
1794 Liberty Cap Large Cent
Early Large Cents
Mint State Flying Eagle Cent

Amazing! Thanks for the report! Harry Bass has an amazing collection and it's nice the collection is still intact!
I hope they do something like that for @Dwight_M's collection too!
Very interesting that these coins are slabbed. I wonder if it's done for authentication and/or insurance purposes?
Great report.
Thanks for sharing and the pictures are terrific.

Kennedys are my quest...
This 1943 ‘bronze’ Cent was purchased from Stacks Bowers Auction for $164,500.
Then the PCGS insert was reworded…
Then according to the ANA display, purchased for over $1 Million Dollars???
Excellent report, I’m going to add a few images from when I was there, I hope you don’t mind @CentSearcher. It’s a truly amazing collection. Here is a selection from around the museum the lighting is not optimal :
