09SVDB Our early Friday Morning Counterfeit Special, Link Included!

Did someone deliberately abuse this counterfeit to try and make it look circulated or what?
With all the nicks and gouges they cleverly disguised the details of the mint mark font?
But, they couldn't hind the messed of the designer's initials, period to close to the "D" plus all the periods are to close to the rim.

Looks like the seller pulled that one.... I think.... Anyway, it sure was a bad one. Looks like intentional abuse to cover the fake. Cheers, RickO
Funny thing is the N is the correct shallow type. Good thing for the wrong initials type/periods
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Actually I've looked at that "N" several times and if you look at its angled cross bar its the thin design, and if you look right at the right side valley there is a to convenient of a ding impression, I really think its the deep valley "N"
Look at the terrible detail in the wheat grains, its just a mix of stupid patterns.
But, look at the lack of wear on the obverse and then look at Lincoln's hair, profile around the ear. Lots of details are wrong on this coin.

Oh, OK. I was just looking at the picture you added. I went back and looked at the actuall auction where I could magnify the view and you're correct - most likely a deep valley N
